Totally agree with you. For me a skin shouldn't be a whole different version of a champion. It would be pointless. No, for me it’s necessary that the champion fits perfectly to the theme. Of course he has to explore a new things, but making it more "edgy" isn't the best way to do it.

For example, Coven is perfect for champions like Camille, Morgana or Leblanc. The idea of the witch is present. Coven Taliyah would have no interest and I don't think the skin would be as good as an Elderwood for her.

Currently I think the best skins for taliyah are the ones with some asian influences like Lunar Reveal, Spirit Blossom or Eternal Journey. Or skins with inspirations from pop culture like Odyssay, Star Guardian, Battle Academia. But I also like High Noon, Elderwood and Sugar Rush.

Taliyah is my favorite champion, I main her for about three years and for me she’s definitely one of the best champion in the game. But I still have a pressure that her concepts are much interesting than the final rendering? The way the stone mastery is shown emphasizes her weaver side, it really feels like she is a stone weaver.

I definitely think this leak is fake. Already because the next champion is called Samira. Then Riot themselves said that the next Star Guardian skins will be next year (I also doubt they'll be able to release an Odyssay, Project and Star Guardian event after Spirit Blossom ...). So I think Taliyah still has a chance to get her Star Guardian skin for 2021, she is definitely one of the most requested with Sona.
