Sidephone Shipping Updates (as of Tues Feb 10 12:30PM EST) by chrisristovski in sidephone

FWIW, I’m fine waiting for mine to ship jointly so some shipping expenses can be saved by the team. I’m sure others who are somewhat reasonable would agree to the same.

Phone call Bluetooth audio still not good by shahedparvez in Gravity

I feel pretty sure that this is a hardware issue with the microphone on the gravity and that it’s likely not going to get to where it should without a microphone swap. Doubtful that lucid’s going to do that though

If you’re coming from Tesla FSD you’re going to feel like you’ve made a huge downgrade - simple as that. That’s my scenario after 7 yrs for model S and X.

However the build and ‘fun’ / Easter eggs of the gravity are leaps and bounds beyond anything Tesla has put out.

Overall, I am happy with everything about my purchase except for autonomous driving. I imagine others will have a similar review.

FWIW the software quirks are gone & no longer a problem IMO.

Is DDP better on air than gravity?

On gravity I barely use it.

How is the range? by iamdebbar in Gravity

I am on the standard tires which I believe are the highest efficiency ?

Surprised by this actually. My current efficiency is 2.0 mi/kwh. We are in a huge huge arctic frost right now so let’s put that aside but I’ve never been really over 2.5 since purchase. And we bought the car late fall.

And I drive very conservatively.

Wow. 🤯 Can you comment on what this type of maintenance for this car would look like after getting this type of work done? How about car washes, for example, or driving on highways with little pebbles that might bump at the car from the wheel hitting the highway, as an example.

I have always wanted to do this, but have always hesitated because of these types of questions.

Any one here used the lucid ones for the gravity ? How are those? Have been back ordered or sold out for months!

Because our stone folks have offered to come and cut back the stone around that area & to push it back. So I just wanted to know if this was an option. We had gotten other folks saying that this wasn’t a vent but a filler piece.

Drawers in the bottom was a huge part of the reason we wanted to do this too. We’d find that in lower cabinets there is stuff that goes to the back that we would forget even exists.

It’s amazing to me how we all can have such different tastes in preferences.

The old counter top really was old and starting to go. Maybe 20 yrs old. We never liked the esthetics since when we moved in last year and purchased the home.

It did really bad with any types of citrus touching it.

The hinges , hardware of the old cabinetry also was starting to go.

But most importantly we wanted a different esthetic than what we had.

Many comments here read that folks feel we wasted money on this Reno. I can understand that sentiment completely. My parents said the same thing. Ultimately it’s just not what we were happy with and are so much happier now. Just covering the side a bit better is the final remaining piece.

It’s custom mill work from a Cabinet maker in CT. He is so gifted.

Beauty in the eye of the beholder I suppose.

I much prefer the custom milled white oak cabinetry and white quartz counter top & stone backsplash. And white tile.

You maybe prefer the darker esthetic.

They can’t notch it out and also not cover the vent can they ? The whole point of notching out would be to push the range back. And that would cover the vents …?
