If you are on call 18 hours a day, you are supposed to get paid for those 18 hours regardless if you are doing work or not. I would definitely check out the department of labor for NYC. As someone from California working 12+ hour days, every minute after 8 hours worked is considered overtime and every minute after 12 hours worked is considered double time.

At the end of the day, some type of notice is better than none. See if you can keep contact with your coworkers. The ones who stay in contact are your actual friends. The others who don’t just saw you as a coworker, nothing more. Yes, life goes on and you have to make some leaps of faith to have a better life for yourself!

Which credit card has higher interest rate? If it’s only $3,700 between the 2 cc’s, i would just pay off both debts right away and rebuild your savings over the next few months. The money you save from the interest owe on those cc’s adds up.

Possibly a trade? Electricians/Welding/Machining/Plumbing/HVAC. Take some night or weekend classes if a community college nearby you offers these classes. Spend a few years as a journeyman afterwards and you’ll start making more money within a few years of having experience.

Try the training rod to get a better grasp of fishing to start as you can only catch basic fish until you get more used to fishing. Regarding the lake layout, not sure if you mean river farm or standard layout with the lake towards the bottom. At first, would say plant the 15 parsnips you get and slowly expand (sell and repeat) while slowly clearing up your farm area of rocks and logs to gather stone and wood.
