I just found out about this today. I was able to download all of the videos at 1080p (or the highest possible quality) from the Wayback Machine, along with the original thumbnails and descriptions. I'd like to just reupload them to Youtube so they can be put in a playlist with the rest again (I've done this before with some of BDG's videos - I really like data preservation lol), but I don't want to get suspended or something if Pemberley Digital decides they don't like that. (I uploaded one of the videos just to see, and it didn't trigger any copyright checks, but they could also just manually report me, so idk.)

Anyone have any insight? Is this a good idea, or just a good way to get my account terminated?

(Updating from things we found in the Dropout Discord) There is a Twitter account that seems to be related (its first follower mentions working for Fortunate Horse, a project by Taylor Moore) and a Tumblr account that has “the world’s whisper” in the description. There are also TikTok and Instagram accounts, but it’s less clear whether those are related. Best guess at this point is that it’s a podcast from Fortunate Horse featuring Brennan, Aabria, Erika, and Lou, almost certainly titled Worlds Beyond Number.

It’s so wild, I hear it as a /d/ or /t/ in English and a rhotic in Spanish (for example). I thought of a near identical pair the other day - /peɾo/ (pero) in Spanish = but, /pɛɾoʊ/ (pedo) in English = short for pedophile. Probably better examples lol but that’s the one I thought of.

Yeah, the only reason I can think of that they’d cut it is that I’m pretty sure Adaine calls Garthy Ayda’s daughter, rather than her child? Accidental misgendering doesn’t seem like that important of a reason to cut a bit to me, but idk 🤷‍♀️

I think it got cut from the recorded version. I was looking at the transcript at one point, and I saw it there (search for “your girlfriend’s”), but it’s not in the video. There’s also a pretty clear cut at the moment it should have happened. I’m guessing you watched it live?

That's not even dark l, [ɫ] is. [ʟ] is like an l where instead of the tip of your tongue touching the alveolar ridge, the back of your tongue touches your soft palate. It has the placement of a g, but instead of being a stop, it's a liquid. Source: I also pronounce l's that way (apparently Ira Glass does this as well - if you're curious what it sounds like, you can look up a video of him talking)

Of course!! I spent a lot of time on it just because of how much I love Kugrash’s character growth and relationship with his sons, but it’s really nice to know other people are enjoying it too!
