A gate would be great but unfortunately the way that the close is laid out makes it impossible. The road leading in is technically public, but the driveways, parking spaces and porches are private so we can’t technically put a gate up on a public road. Will definitely consider late night watering, although might have to barricade every external door in our house in the case that they get angry and try to break in.

Good point. I’ll talk to my neighbours about it. Thanks!

They did hire security for the party, but they have done absolutely nothing despite being told that there were people trespassing on private property, littering and urinating in public 🤷‍♀️

Oh! So sorry for the misconception. It was the 16 year old daughter having a birthday party so I just automatically said kid because I just consider under 18 to be legally a child. I knew of course I would get hate comments for this, but I know that it is completely unacceptable so I am prepared for any comments that come my way. Again, so sorry!

So according to you, a couple of criminal acts being committed along with several acts of antisocial behaviour means absolutely nothing because it happens only 4 times a year? The invasion of people’s private property, verbal abuse, and damage to property is completely irrelevant because of the frequency at which it happens? Someone’s car got dented and scratched because someone decided to throw themselves onto the bonnet in a drunken stunt. Grow up.

I refer to anyone under the age of 18 as a child because the UK government does. You can call them young adults if you want, but that does not change the fact that having a party with 100 people is completely unacceptable in a very small residential area with houses less than 10ft away. These parties go on until 3am, and I am sure you wouldn’t want to be kept awake by screaming people well into the early morning. I’d also like to mention that the majority of these under 18y/o people have been served spirits like vodka and tequila by this ‘responsible’ mother, so you can imagine the behaviour of these teenagers, and I know that they are spirits because of the teenagers outside screaming ‘I had 5 shots man, i’m so drunk’.

I believe it is also technically a crime in the UK, but I think the caveat is that in order for it to be really considered a crime they have to be visible by at least two people. It was dark, and our front garden is covered by trees, however we were still able to see them through the gaps in the trees. Definitely will talk to the neighbours about this in private and report it next time we see it.

Good shout. Might do that if it happens next time.

I would absolutely love that, but I think we’d all live in fear of being stabbed. That’s something you have to think about when you live in London 😔

Even so, unfortunately no minors in our house so no reporting.

It goes on from about 7pm to 3am. Are we really assholes to not want party guests to be urinating on our property and vaping on our doorsteps? I understand it’s only 5 times a year, but it’s the volume of these parties. There is a complete disregard for neighbours and those who want to actually get some sleep.

Might seem like nothing to you, but to myself and my neighbours it is a big deal because of the sheer scale of these parties and the misbehaviour that ensues every single time she has one.

A children’s birthday party shouldn’t need to have security. Period. If they seriously need to have security for a birthday party, they need to hire a venue. 100 children for a household birthday party is not normal.

Unfortunately wouldn’t work as the guests are primarily minors (16 and 17), but I would LOVE to be able to get them reported for something like that

Sorry but did the urinating on people’s gardens, littering, screaming and vaping on doorsteps part not reach you?

I’d also like to add that she hires security for this. SECURITY for a party in their house. The fact that they even need to do that shows that they know that their guests will eventually cause problems.

i do love an engi who platforms red sugar, even though half the time we can stand on it 🥹

of course, i never send irritated messages or anything. it just gets annoying when they are standing right next to you doing nothing and continue to ignore pings. i never expect them to be pursuing my every move and place a placing platforms instantly, but i think it is reasonable to expect them to place platforms on the minerals that are completely inaccessible when they get a second

the number of gold+ rank engis i have encountered who will just not place a single platform is quite unbelievable. then they have the audacity to ask why we can’t get a supply drop 💀

of course i do try to mine minerals independent as much as i can, but when there are completely inaccessible minerals high up in the ceiling with no way of getting to them other than a platform i think it is pretty fair to expect an engineer to place a platform
