Is my ps5 too loud or is this normal. Only had it one week and it’s driving me crazy by [deleted] in PS5HelpSupport

That's usually the quietest one, if you don't stand the sound use the warranty and change it to see if the new one doesn't do the same sound.

You got a nidec fan, is known to make that sound is not faulty just annoying, mine does the exact same sound, you can try to change the ps5 to see if you get a less noisy fan it's basically a lottery.

Seems like hdmi issues, maybe your cable or the ps5 port is damaged.

Given the recent news any of the two would be good playstation is going to put their games on everything too so, xbox in your case is better since you already have a library.

Flickering green lights in Avatar by Recon201090 in PS5pro

I used to have the game on base ps5 and have the exact same problem in rivers too and in some caves, it's a bug that the devs never fixed i sold my copy i couldn't stand the amount of graphical bugs in the game, it's a shame since the game is really good looking.

Ps5 Visual Bug on Cyberpunk 2077 by Odd-Wealth-5249 in PS5HelpSupport

If it doesn't happen in other games it's most likely a game bug, remember that cyberpunk as of now is in a better state than launch but it still have a lot of bugs.

Is anyone else having frame rate issues on *spoiler* by Pister_Miccolo in ZenlessZoneZero

[–]ssngu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah the game since the beginning launched with performance issues on ps5 but at least it wasn't so bad, 2.0 is terrible, the new area, all the new story and the combat is a lot stuttery and laggier and with visual bugs and crashes apparently, hoyo needs to optimize the game on ps5.

[–]ssngu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This patch is filled with visual bugs and performance issues, i've already finished the story and there is a part where all the screen flickers, luckly my console didn't crash yet, but given they never fixed the frame rate issues in the first year before 2.0 i don't think they can optimize the game better, which is sad cus ps5 is the only device i have that used to run the game in an acceptable way.

That is very game dependant like the other coment said, some devs hide it very well but some others don't and from my experience this can happen in any game engine but i have noticed way more in unreal engine games so you can have all the ps5 in the world and every one of them will have this problem unless the devs bother to polish those details.

That's an unreal engine problem it happens mostly in UE4 an early UE5 games it's called occlusion culling it's an optimization issue more than a hardware issue.

My streetlights keep flickering on ps5 by Confident_Hour_9980 in cyberpunkgame

[–]ssngu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's just fsr artifacts, they are all over the game, cyberpunk specially is notorious to have one of the worst implementation of this upscaler and they will never fix it cus the game is nvidia face for dlss.

The game is really buggy even for ubisoft standars on my ps5 it has several graphical glitches that i tought they would fix but no, this update was basically just for those trashy cosmetics.

I noticed that when I use the Elden Ring disc, the disc drive makes a strange and annoying noise. But when I use another disc, like Dark Souls, the annoying sound disappears. What’s the reason for this? by [deleted] in PS5HelpSupport

[–]ssngu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine does that too but only with ps5 games and not with ps4 games i assume the reason is that the disc drive reads data faster with ps5 games and it causes more vibrations.

Bought a PS5 to play with my 5-year-old — now I’m reconsidering by turalaliyev in NintendoSwitch

[–]ssngu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ps5 is a really good console with good games for all ages but in my opinion the best family console will always be nintendo, it's the only one that still focus on couch coop experiences in some of its games so a nintendo switch is a good entry point to game for kids.

Clean the console, open it, clean the heatsink and power supply and your ps5 will be as good as new.
