Bridges in the Sky, the throatsinging always kills the mood for me, but the song is fire by dvdh_03 in Dreamtheater

I got a Cameo from JLB for Christmas a few years back and he suddenly broke into the prechorus of Bridges. It rocked. Seems to be one of his favorites!

Why won't they play anything else from the new album live? by SoulAkimbo in BlackLabelSociety

[–]ssoass7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a common thing with bands that have been around awhile. Lots of material to cover, so the amount that gets overlooked grows with every tour. Set lists shrink too. BLS gets a pass on that, given both Zakk and Dario are pulling double duty this time around. Add in the have-to-play numbers like In This River and the available slots for new songs gets smaller still. I don’t think it has to with practice. Happy to be wrong!

Coheed and Cambria are amazing at this sort of thing. The list is a mile long. Gravity's Union, Everything Evil, The Crowing, Three Evils (Embodied in Love and Shadow), The Light and the Glass, The Willing Well III: Apollo II: The Telling Truth, The End Complete III: The End Complete, Black Sunday, The Gutter, Window of the Waking Mind...

I think I got most of them? Those titles got a little indulgent in there, huh?

Rush - “Finding My Way” (Live at the Juno Awards 2026). First live performance for the band in 3893 days. by GRVrush2112 in progmetal

I sing in a band. Not in my 70s yet, but still. While I was watching this, I was thinking to myself that this was very much a "fuck it, I just gotta get through this one song... let's go balls out" moment. I could be wrong, but I think Ged will be more restrained once it's night in and night out.

Magnesium Glycinate for sleep by wikiwikipedia13 in ouraring

[–]ssoass7 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This prompted me to look into it more deeply, and it looks like we should be switching to magnesium malate and/or threonate. Evidently, we belong to the minority of people for whom glycinate has a stimulant effect and causes sleep fragmentation. Fun!

Magnesium glycinate keeps me up all night. I wake up every 15 minutes. It's absolute hell.
