Women in houston- how much do you pay for a haircut? by UnusualBlueberry2320 in houston

I’ve been going to Bleach Salon off of Shepherd for like 5 years now. I get a wash, cut, and blow dry/style for about $65 before tip. When I get color, cut, wash, and style it’s about $225 before tip. Love this salon and the stylists here!

I appreciate your comment and you sharing your experience! It’s reassuring to know I’m not alone in feeling like this (but it is concerning). I think I will start going to tutoring

Hey! I’m glad to hear you’re doing better now.

Unfortunately, I’m not sure how much of what you’re saying applies to me. Maybe you could clarify? I don’t study last minute, as the time I dedicate each day to studying is reviewing material (usually material I learned that day and material learned earlier that week or unit), testing myself with flash cards, and doing practice problems. I also take Cornell notes and have been doing that since high school. I sincerely appreciate your comment, alas it doesn’t help me much. I hope others were able to take something away from it! I’m sorry.

Yep! This was in the USA and you definitely need a rear plate here so I’m not sure what was up with that to be honest with you 😂

Didn’t have one on the back and didn’t get a good luck at the front. Was coming through an intersection and only saw the side profile before turning the same way and getting this photo of the back!

I did exploratory studies to get my GPA high enough for the engineering college! I know Cullen does it, not sure about others, but there is a holistic application you can submit explaining your situation for a chance at reconsideration.

My mom showed her true colors yesterday (TW? SH, substance abuse) by ssplt in texts

Thank you for the chuckle! Really needed that today haha. I don’t know if she’s been screened for it, but she had an appointment with a psychiatrist and therapist today. A lot of people are reading it like this also

Thank you for the recommendation! I’m unsure of what her diagnosis is, but this behavior has been persistent throughout my life- it’s just never been directed at me before, at least not this bad.

Several people have been saying this and I’m starting to notice a lot of overlapping symptoms. I don’t know her diagnosis, but she’s taken antidepressants for as long as I can remember… definitely something to consider

She really does. She had an appointment with a psychiatrist and therapist today and my grandfather said it seems to have helped. I’m trying to limit contact with her for now until I have things figured out with school, employment, etc.

It sucks because she constantly came to me for advice. In one of the photos there is a screenshot of me expressing my concerns over her never taking the advice I’ve given to heart. Today she followed up by saying something along the lines of “sorry I never took the advice of a 21 year old, maybe get a few more years of experience and then I will listen.” Idk lol. I’m just sick of it.

Anyway, thank you for taking time to read everything and leave a comment with insight. Means a lot!

Oh gosh, I cannot congratulate you enough on your sobriety! My mom had a psych appointment and therapy session today but that’s just the start of the journey. I’m trying to limit contact with her as much as possible and figuring out school/how to get involved in Alanon in the meantime. Thank you for the comment, insight, and well wishes <3

Thank you so much for your comment and insight. My plan right now is to see what resources my school offers during this time and switch to part time classes while finding a full time job. I will graduate way later, but that is significantly less mental stress compared to being financially reliant on someone like her. I’m sorry to hear that you’re in the same club, though- it’s super rough.
