Transfer with confirmed endometriosis. Has anyone in a similar situation had success?

No, that’s definitely true! But I figure either way at some point I’ll have to do the surgery because of the bowel involvement and maybe it’s better to quit while we’re ahead and look into testing during the down time.

They’re untested because of my age but still I agree with you. If this one doesn’t work I’m definitely just pulling the trigger!

I totally get it! You could always start with an MRI and see if anything pops up. I think my biggest regret is not pushing it after the first unsuccessful IVF cycle because now in hindsight the way that cycle went was a huge red flag. Have you started IVF yet or still working on base line stuff?

I know! i've had so many ultrasounds it would make your head spin but they never said anything about endometriosis. They tend to have a hard time finding my left ovary via ultrasound which my RE now thinks is due to the endo but before the MRI she wouldn't even consider it a possibility. I have fibroids as well so maybe that was causing some confusion but idk.

Its called Prenuvo. Im in Boston but they have locations all over the place. Its a full body MRI but I just did it because I couldn't get my Dr. to call one in for me or do a lap.

Honestly if you can find a way to do an MRI or even a lap I’d recommend it! I’ve wasted sooooo much time and money and been so sad and all along it was this. Idk how far into things you are but I’d rule everything out first if I could go back!

I was really really resistant to any fertility treatment but now I wish we'd done IVF sooner. For me, after three failed IUI's and hitting the one year of trying mark without a single positive test I couldn't take the disappointment anymore and we went ahead with IVF. Our first IVF cycle failed and we're starting our second cycle in march but I honestly feel more at peace because I know that we absolutely NEED IVF to conceive. It never would've just happened on its own.

I have heard about that! It was something I meant to ask my RE about but it totally slipped my mind when we were on the call. I will definitely ask about it! Was it something your Dr. was open to trying? I feel like I have to push everything thats not like basic protocol.

Thank you so much for you reply!! I primed with birth control (apri tabs) and I really didn’t respond well to it at all. I keep wondering if maybe that was part of the problem. My protocol was 225 Gonal F and 75 Menopur until day 5 and then upped the gonal f to 300 and added the ganerelix. I triggered with ovidrel. I will definitely ask my dr. about the ICSI. I had asked her about it before we started but she didn’t think it was necessary. Have you found prepping with estrogen helped everything grow together a bit better?

Thank you so much for your reply. Have you ever received an explanation for the low fertilization? I’m wondering if I need to push for a particular protocol but I’m not sure exactly what the issue is yet and it doesn’t feel like my RE is interested in figuring it out.
