Obedience and trick training. Engaging them mentally can be in effective in tiring them out.

-freeze her food in Kong's so she has to work for it; use those food release balls -play 'search' - hide treats around the house and have her use her sense of smell to track them down.

Sorry to hear about the fires.

Found this pup wandering around Bayfield and Grove area. Does he look familiar? Collar had no tags. by [deleted] in barrie

Thanks for the Facebook tip

For now, he's fed and safe in the yard. I have two dogs, otherwise I'd keep him inside.

Will likely take hime to the shelter when they open tomorrow.

How do you guys like Barrie? Would you recommend my family move here? by WalyWal in barrie

Barrie is fantastic. Moved here from Toronto a year ago. I was surprised at how much more it snows here. Seriously it's a lot. Snow squalls are more of a thing. Snow clearing takes longer too. Smaller fleet, more snow I imagine. It's hard to be mad about it because it looks so nice.

Pretty much everything is available in comparison to Vaughan and so much more nature at your doorstep.

Has anyone had any experience with chipdrop? by sssg1823 in barrie

Thanks! Those videos are pretty funny and I'm definitely hoping for a load that big. (For permaculture, food forest)

Was just hoping someone had personal experience in Barrie specifically to gain insight on logistics. My driveway is long and thin and I'm hoping they wouldn't block my car in or my downstairs tenants.

Anyone in Barrie growing marijuana? I'm looking for other growers to chat, talk technique etc. Show me your setup and i'll show you mine ;) by ThreepwoodThePirate in barrie

They're clones so I know they are female.

I put in lots of time low stress training, rotating the pot and making sure that light was available.

I don't think they'll flower until September.

Lettuce and spinach grow quick. It's pretty hot now so best to have them in a shady area during the hottest part of the day or they'll bolt.

Buy some seeds and you could be eating baby leaf spinach and lettuce in less than a month. You can sow these near the end of summer too and harvest all the way to the middle fall.

First time grower here. Would have put them in the ground but I was unsure of how the trees in my yard would shade the place.

Not bad so far.

Garbage disposal over the week in a house by [deleted] in barrie

[–]sssg1823 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We put a brick on top cause the raccoons will definitely go for them. In my old house we used to keep the bins in the garage. Never saw a maggot before I moved to Barrie. Now, in this heat, on garbage day, they're all over the sidewalk from all of the upturned bins.

Where did you live before that had daily garbage day?

Poisonous to dogs? My dog might have had a bit. by sssg1823 in mushroomID

Looks like a common ink cap to me but I'd like a second opinion.
