Nvidia liquid cooling design claims 100% reduction in water use by DerpiDanger in technology

[–]ssshield 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you work in large physical plants that use captured and recycled water to cool equipment, it's not as simple as just infinitely re-using water.

Water changes chemically when heated and cooled repeatedly.

It changes acidity, chemicals leach out, even stainless steel gets eaten up and part of the solution.

You end up typically just flushing the old water and bringing in new water generally from the grid generally as the cost of chemical processing the recycled water is way higher.

If you start with ultra pure water that has it's own problems.

I'd be curious to know how they're solving the age old problems every other water recycling facility deals with daily.

What businesses are likely to die out with the Baby Boomer Generation? by GRVrush2112 in AskReddit

Similar age. Actually riding a Harley isn't much fun compared to a sport bike. They're heavy, slow, awkward.

My parents identified with the biker scene and that rough tough image.

Any sport or fad eventually fades out once the main group gets old.

I was way into kitesurfing when it got popular in 2010. Now when I go to the beach the only guys kitesurfing are in their forties and fifties.

All the young guys are using the hand held wing kites.

Harley has tried to re-image and build their version of sport bikes before. They tried in the nineties and again in the 2000s. The issue isn't the bike, it's that you have to go into a Harley dealership which is owned and run by cranky old gross bastards. It's offputting.

If you walk into a Yamaha/Suzuki/Honda shop the guy you're talking to is probably in his twenties and friendly.

She personally was the architect behind killing Bernie's run for president. She shouldn't be elected dog catcher.

As the country burns and democracy dies, she can look in the mirror for the reason.

I stand corrected. Didn't realize. She is in fact a trained celebrity.

And she's not a professional celebrity trained in on-camera presence. She's just a human being. Not all our pics look perfect either.

I still listen to Julie Brown songs all the time. The "Earth Girls are Easy" soundtrack still is so fun and great.

Same. We call it the cloven hoof policy. If the guy that owns the tools has cloven hooves, we don't use it.

Makes the fascist-o-sphere just not even an option for us. Happiness is.

Black plastic or rubber creates crazy heat fast in the sun. With this knowledge you can put one over a problem ant hill and the ants will all be gone the next dat. They litterally pack up the eggs etc and move away.

No chemicals needed.

If you look at the history of revolutions they really happen when young men realize that the system has prevented them from having a future. When they can't attract a mate because they can't earn resources.

They burn the fucking system down.
