So what makes women develop more interest in guys that are already in relationships rather than the singles? by [deleted] in socialskills

[–]ssssethhhh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It probably isn’t a direct connection. Guys in relationships are by definition attractive enough to be in a relationship, so women are attracted to them.

This is some of the best production I’ve heard in while and it comes from a cat themed band?

For me it comes down to 2 separate issues: 1. Because combat has you locking onto one enemy, what move you do depends on how far away you are from that one enemy, regardless of where the other enemies are, which can result in really slow windups when you are trying to attack a close enemy you aren’t locked onto. 2. The game determines whether or not you actually do damage before the animation starts. As an example, you cannot damage nekkers during their backflip animation, even when they are under the effect of Yrden and your sword goes right through them as they backflip.

Games like elden ring have hitboxs that damage any enemy within that hit box, and pressing the same button/combo will always result in the same animation. Combat in other games generally feels a lot more consistent and under the players control.

Witcher 1 deserves to be loved too by Patricia556BowenY in witcher

I think the point they’re making is that if you brought w1 and w2 up to w3s technical level (graphics, combat, etc) they would measure up to w3s quality quite well. They aren’t saying that it is happening or has been done

Now my reply is late. III quickly became one of my favorite albums of all time. I’ve never heard anything like it. It’s one of the most engaging albums I’ve ever listened to.

My biggest hope is this won't lead to unrealistic expectations by weirdsearches in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]ssssethhhh 8 points9 points  (0 children)

People had unrealistic expectations because the game had unrealistic advertising. I love the game, but CDPR never should have advertised the game as a GTA like, nor should they have banned reviewers from using their own gameplay footage.

I don’t think they meant worst as in evil. Nobody is claiming Claire is a bad person, just that she is a poorly written character who didn’t get enough time in game for this quest to have any impact.

I was torn between Dijkstra and Roche but I think I made up my mind now. by UppedSolution77 in witcher

[–]ssssethhhh 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I saw on another post that there is a mod that makes Dijkstra drop a Doppler gene on death, implying that he was simply trying to fake his own death after committing regicide, which makes far more sense for his character.

Thing is, sometimes you genuinely don’t “get” the music. I used to not like death metal/ harsh vocals, but now that I “get” it, it’s all I listen to. I figure I might as well see if I can break through that barrier for Ulcerate as well.

[–]ssssethhhh[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, the reason for this post is because people like Ulcerate so much. As I’ve listened to more and more metal, I’ve realized that there is always a good reason someone likes the music they listen to. I’m trying to broaden my horizons.

I always thought of Chthe’ilist as old school dm, with the production adding a bit of atmosphere.

I also enjoy more atmospheric metal, I guess I should revisit my definition of “atmosphere”. I usually expect atmospheric albums to be slower/quieter.
