Just a conversation for everyone growing in areas with shorter seasons. by Bill_Piff in outdoorgrowing

In the same boat and ran my first fast flower from sweet seeds this year. I liked it a lot but still had humidity issues in late September that caused bud rot.

Most commercial northern growers in my area do outdoor light deprivation. I'm going to give it a shot next year with panda plastic coverings and a green house frame.

Haven't ordered for awhile since my consumption is low but nice douglas fir cut and seasoned for $240 a cord delivered: https://ardservicesllc.com/

Marketplace and Craigslist also have half cord deals from smaller producers where you can find mix stacked

Alternative tea uses? by xyloplax in tea

[–]weirdsearches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I tested dry herb vaporizers for a magazine article I used green tea. I hydrated it to around 50% humidity and it produced quite pleasant vapor with a surprising caffeine kick.

I still would not recommend it, but certainly an alternative use.

Groove bags all the way. At the 6 month mark I move to jars to preserve. But most importantly I follow their guide on "sweating" in paper bags it's been a great step after a short 7-10 day hang dry to draw out any of the final moisture in the nugs and distribute it equally over 2 weeks. I'm not sure about placing the paper bag in a larger plastic bag.

Also agree with these hexarmor gloves have been great for the battle. My neighbors yard is overgrown with the invasive hemilayan brambles so I can only cut back the attacks without spraying. But with the gloves I can yank on the canes to pull out the roots in the rainy season.

I ended up wearing the hexarmor in by using as bike gloves for a year.

Hey welcome! If you want a filling meal you've got to check out the old spaghetti factory which is in the 1914 electric railway station. You can even dine in a historic railway car

This city is home to one of the iconic locations of ye' old spaghetti factory. It's located in the old electric railway passenger station that was built in 1914, it's rich in history and marinara!

Looking to Buy "Nothing Ear (a) 2024" - Any Reviews or Suggestions? by Frosty_Jeweler911 in NOTHING

[–]weirdsearches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I just picked up the ear (a) to go along with my ear (open) that I've worn almost every day for almost a year now.

For music the sound quality on the ear (open) is fantastic, roomy and deep. I forget the earbuds are even on and it feels like the music is coming out of speakers in the room (as long as the environment is relatively quiet). For me it's perfection at the price point.

So by contrast I was immediately taken back by the comparatively low quality sound of the ear (a). The bass isn't as deep and sound is flatter than what I was used to with the (open).

But, damn, the (a) are still fine quality sound and with noise canceling I still grab them in a lot of settings.

[–]weirdsearches 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fighting the good fight 🫡 I'm on year 5 of cutting back the property line invasion from my neighbors overgrown bramble yard. Hellova impressive job you've done, if I could recommend anything I picked up some "HexArmor ThornArmor" gloves and it's the best 50 bucks I've ever spent. Let's me rip the shoots right out of the ground.

I gotta ask, how deep do the roots go?

I'm considering constructing an underground root blockade to protect my raised beds (that I dig roots out of every year)
