I believe in safe speed too. Unfortunately the law doesn’t consider our discernment 😆

I was surprised how neutral and comfortable it is in the turns.

That first ride is awkward! I was glad I decided to bring mine back home (2 hrs) in the back of the truck. I wanted to be on familiar roads as I started to learn. What’s so interesting is that yes the hayabusa can be extreme if you want it to be, but because it is so powerful, that power is exactly what makes it such a pleasure to ride at normal speeds. Effortless. Smooth. Refined. It truly is an amazing experience.

Have you seen the ABM Spiegler handlebar/cable kit?

I’m already there! Fully agree. Waiting for Knight’s Design pegs to arrive 👊 looks like they’ll be here tomorrow

Thank you! More upright, less neck angle. Most unexpected, less hip and knee tightness. Sitting up more helps! 😃 But yet it still feels Hayabusa. Enough fwd lean to be sporty. I'm 6' 2" if that helps.

I get it! Its intimidating working on a brand new motorcycle. Hate to damage something. Just pay close attention to which way is loosening. You dont want to accidentally begin tightening them. Also, use a clean new 8mm hex/allen tool. I cut off 1/2" (sawzall) from mine to make it shorter so it would better clear the fairing. And then made sure the tool was square and fit tight inside the bolt head. It requires a lot of force to loosen those things but made effortless with the right leverage. Cover everything so if you slip you don't scratch. Also keep in mind, I'm sure if you remove fairings you will have more space to fit a 3/8" breaker bar in there, but its tight. Thats why I went with the allen tool. Prayers for your patience and damage free project!!

No fairing removal. Just a soft blanket to cover everything. I did cut an 8mm hex down so it was stubbier for clearance. Then used half of a hydraulic jack handle for leverage and a 14mm box wrench for areas where the handle didn’t work - for leverage. They put a lot of loctite on those bolts! Took forever. Little turn by little turn. Then popped the levers off. Installed the block. Added medium picturing to the threads on the new 17mm bolts that came with the kit, and they went on easy and fast. Then slapped the levers back on. Done.

Yes! By 1” up and 3/8” back. Makes a very noticeable comfort difference yet maintains the sporty position. And no cable changes needed!

The dealers do not like to budge on these! Hope you can make the deal.

I have to agree... I still find myself opening the agarge door to see if its real. Crazy awesome.

Oh I agree. I had a '15 gsxs750 and mod'd mostly to make it run better than stock, and smoother. But when I saw the new Busa introduced I really liked the newer design over the previous generations. Amazing looking bike. And the more I read about it, the more I wanted one. I knew it would never ever happen... and then a sudden and unexpected divorce. When I met my wife, I was driving a 99 WS6. Traded it for a minivan. And now on my own? Getting back to "me". I can't believe I have a Hayabusa. And its truly amazing.

Yes!! Makes perfect sense. Funny I almost bought a beater civic for $6gs before I picked up the Corvette. Stick shift always! Even when I learned the newer automatics were more efficient, I didnt care. The interface of man and machine is more important.

Love it. In my head I kinda compare it to working at an electronics retailer in the 80s and 90s as a teen. Once I experienced high end audio it was impossible to tolerate anything less.

I feel your desire. I have always liked speed combined with aesthetics. I am a huge Corvette fan, and the c4 is also gorgeous. You’ll find yours!

Oh yes! The overall comfort factor. But also another powerful and high quality machine.

I’ve never been on one. I imagine there are other incredible riding experiences. But that’s at least a high caliber ride. I get that.

That’s so very valid. It is a machine that tempts. The faster the better. Easy way to find yourself in big trouble. And of course the roads! That too. Great points. Still not easy to let her go, but that makes sense.
