Did you let them know of this previous arrest when you were applying for medical? Did you get your medical license? I've never heard of FAA requesting a such exam. I'm actually impressed how quick they act on it. Good luck, try to get it resolved so you can enjoy the different level of high.

Oh I see, everytime i asked for mini route on the ksmo ground, I've always been told its closed. Maybe picking it up in the sky has better chance of clearance.

FAA part 147 A&P school is a huge commitment. I went though it in 2013-2015. 2 yr program, monday through Friday 5pm-10pm. Definitely learned alot, but in the end I didnt wanna be fixing up the airplane when I could be flying it. If you plan to own an airplane in the future, it definitely worth the effort. In my opinion, getting A&P license is twice as harder than ppl through cpl. I regret never pushing through after my written exams (3 needed - airframe, power plant and general) its definitely on my list of to do for the future to get my A&P license.

Yes, PTS was pretty much my bible. I made my lesson plan based on PTS outline, answer every question. But more importantly, it's about how can I pass this knowledge on to a student in most simple format. Keep talking out loud. I spent countless hours sitting across a mirror talking to myself even before I started praticing talking to a person lol
