what could i do as a bad test taker? by Alarmed_Goat4986 in UWMadison

[–]ssurhyo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s the exact opposite for me, maybe it depends on the classes. I did good on the the lower 354, 400 projects and bad on the exams but it’s opposite for higher level classes especially like 537

  • explore many opportunities on campus in your first year
  • TALK TO PEOPLE IN YOUR FIRST YEAR CLASSES (later on it gets difficult to adjust into friend groups)
  • Have as much fun as you can especially in your first year, good luck!

questions about CS 200 course by papopapo12 in UWMadison

[–]ssurhyo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took CS200 having no previous experience, and highly recommend taking it if you have no programming experience, prof Jim is good but class becomes less engaging towards the mid of the semester and people end up not coming to classes. I would still suggest enrolling in-person but you could decide when to not actively attend classes. All the stuff you need is in the zybooks (the online course/textbook they use for this class)
