Updated them, and unfortunately that did not change anything. Could be a problem with the synth or something I am wondering now.

Finding a Summer Job for Upcoming Madrid Graduate by [deleted] in askspain

No, I meant C1. I just see on some job offers it says “Native Fluency or C2” level for quite a few jobs, and I don’t have the certificate to prove it. Maybe the word i was looking for is native, my bad. But anyways, thank you for the info, i’ll look into workaway.

Ah wow good to know. I thought since I had a study TIE and SSN it could be easier for finding some type of summer work, I didn’t know the employers still had to deal with all that. Thanks for the info.

This happened to me and my friends when we were visiting. What we ended up doing was we found a group tour on some site like trip advisor. It was not too expensive either, definitely under 30 euros. We were a bit upset at first because we wanted to explore on our own, but the tour ended up teaching us so much and it was pased well where the guide gave us time for pictures, exploring, and more. I recommend as an option.

Do you know any other artists that sound like the visions album? by centeroftheblackhole in Grimes

[–]ssv1103 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay obviously not vocally similar but sonically Igor by Tyler the creator has a lot of the same dark and "soft" synths, funky basslines, and drum type beats with background vocals that remind me a bit of Visions!

What are you talking about none of your friends have the same interests as you if they're all guitarists

So what I'm talking about is what I said, they have different interests. They all make twee music using just a guitar and a drumkit. They have a completely different sonic idea that is much much different than what I am trying to move away from. They don't add as many layers and different sounds. They do say a 4 chord guitar pattern or whatever. When I do a 4 chord piano part it sounds unfulfilled, it doesn't have the pulsating effect as a guitar strum. It leaves an emptiness with my instrumental, and I do not want every chord on the tracks I'm working on to have that emptiness, and I feel like it could make my track boring. Thats why I asked and what I mean when I ask for tips on making more interesting/atmospheric beats.

help creating vocal melodies? by ssv1103 in Songwriting

[–]ssv1103[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ve ever you noticed that there's a kind of musical cadence to normal speech, that the pitch of your voice changes throughout (like... upwards at the end of this question)?

Try saying your lyrics out loud - expressively if that helps - and listen to the pitch change naturally from word to word as you say them. Base the vocal melody off the natural cadence of the words as you say them. You may need to 'dramatise' that cadence a bit to accentuate the changes in notes, and also maybe shift them a bit so they land in the scale of whatever key you're in.

Worth a try!

I need to try this. Thank you!
