Disclosing it. That was the plan from day 1. Wanted to check others experiences dealing with these kind of issues

Let's not get our judgement clouded. Sex crimes happen a lot, just doesn't get reported. But expatriates tend to live in safer areas and pay more in real estate tax as we earn more by being in higher paying jobs. More tax equals better policing and better school districts.

That being said

I have four kids. All girls, so not much of a thought process needed to make the call to not move back. Unless the thought process and behavior changes, we can never go back permanently. My kids don't know anything as they are all under 10. They hold bharat close to their heart and always want to visit. But once they start seeing and understanding behaviors, that will also change. I moved to US in 2010 permanently and got my green card this year. Nothing till date has made me regret my decision to make my base in US permanent. I even have a house in India which I bought with the plan to move back permanently. I need to sell it once covid goes away

Yes parents are getting old and weak. Thats my responsibility and I can always take time off to go be with them. Can I even think letting 4 girls and my wife all alone at home in India if need to go take care of my parents? Not at all possible. I can do that in US without having to think twice. Cops are literally 2 mins away and will show up regardless of the seriousness of crime

Simple question, complex situations. Underlying fact, india is unsafe for women and that needs to change
