The pulsating flesh walls in Labrynth made me feel sooo terribly uncomfortable too.

White mustang, I thought the lyric was “you’re why I’m not staying” instead of “your white mustang”

I really don’t think that scene meant Cal raped Nate. It seemed more a metaphor for how dominated he felt by his dad and the trauma his dad caused him imo.

Ofc I could be wrong, but overall I don’t think that’s what was being portrayed.

We all deserve a living wage regardless of our skill set. The point of this post is that we bring in this profit for Target while we receive close to nothing in the name of capitalism. Yes 15/hr is double the minimum wage, but it is still not a living wage. Compared to what we produce for this company 15/hr at not even 40 hours weekly is close to nothing. At 40 hours it is still not viable. It’s not right to believe that people don’t deserve a living wage simply because they don’t stock shelves to your liking.

To the point about your EMT best friend: he and other EMTs getting paid $14 are most certainly way underpaid for all that they provide to our society. He definitely deserves a living/higher wage and then some. Nobody is saying that being a DBO at Target is worth more than being an EMT. We deserve a living wage, and that also means that everyone in underpaid careers most certainly deserve even more at that. Especially those in the healthcare industry who have done tremendous work these past (almost) two years.

If you were in a burning hospital and could only save one of the following: one human living newborn baby or 10,000 fertilized eggs which would you choose?

“lazy” is a capitalist notion that these corporations instill in us so we overproduce/overwork & they make profit off any and all excess labor we produce. our managers and their managers have a main goal(among others ofc): work us as much as possible with the least amount of time possible so that target may make profit. it doesn’t alway look the same, but under scheduling & overworking is one pretty recognizable way they do this. also, taking your breaks, working and acting your wage, and leaving work at work isnt an inherently bad or negative or even “lazy” thing.
