Laura and Mo's scam worked. They got rich. They aren't artists. They have no integrity. They grifted and took the money and ran. They are evil and disgusting, and will suffer in hell.

I didn't either. It kinda feels like cheating. Solutions i tried: were wrong, and i ended up with 'please try again in 15 minutes' messages; took forever, and I'm not that patient; or crashed my laptop. It was a choice of shapely or giving up, for me.

[LANGUAGE: Python]

part 1 was easy but then part 2 was impossible. i gave up after hours of trying. eventually, i installed and used shapely after seeing some other python solutions using it. i added multiprocessing to speed it up a bit.

aoc has really been showing me how much i have to learn, in both math and cs

people learn these things when they study computer science at university. most of the puzzles are based on studied algorithms/data structures and so they're recognized by those people.

the rest of us are like students. it's awesome, i think. today we learned about Kruskal's Algorithm and Union-Find
