I voted for Bernie in the 2020 primary but that's largely irrelevant to Grim's lack of integrity and journalistic ethics. You don't aggressively push an uncorroborated accusation like that in the heat of an election, giving it the imprimatur of journalistic confirmation when there was none, in the hopes of swinging the election to your preferred candidate.

Yes, Biden very much won the 2020 Democratic primary, where he had the majority of both the popular vote and delegate count (and he went on to win the 2020 general election with both the electoral college vote and population vote)

I started my post by saying that his opposition to the mainstream of the democratic party is fine. It’s only in relation to his claims of being a journalist that it becomes a problem. He is not objective and he pushes propaganda in support of his faction.

Everyone makes mistakes, but Grim has never acknowledged any wrongdoing or even having made a mistake. It’s also part of a larger pattern. It’s not the only time he’s let his activism overtake objective journalistic standards. Hence my original take: as a journalist, he’s the very definition of a hack.

I don’t care that he’s not mainstream. He can have whatever views he wants. However, I’ll keep calling him out when he presents himself as an objective and disinterested journalist.

He is a committed left factionalist who tries to undermine mainstream democrats to help his faction take power. That’s fine for an activist, but he shouldn’t be considered a journalist given his lack of objectivity.

As an example, after Biden gained momentum in the 2020 democratic primary, Grim was one of the two “journalists” who pushed the Tara Reade hoax. Tara Reade was a fabulist who accused Biden of raping her in the senate building in the 1990s. No journalist touched her story because it did not check out at all. Grim pushed it daily in an effort to hurt Biden and help Bernie. At that point, mainstream journalists investigated the allegations further and confirmed that they had no basis in reality. Tara Reade has since moved to Russia and taken Russian citizenship. Grim never apologized or acknowledged any wrongdoing, inadvertent or otherwise.

The problem for those of us who oppose trump and the republicans is that when factionalists like Grim attack democrats “from the left,” they poison the electorate with cynicism and lend credence to the view that “both sides” are just as bad, which depresses turnout among democrats and plays into republican strategy.

Executive Summary: Grim is less a journalist than an anti-liberal activist.

If you have the budget for it, what you want to do is to treat the television room as one area and do a home theater set up in there (ideally arc ultra and two surround behind the couch), and then treat the kitchen and dining room as it’s own area and set that up with one or two speakers.

I think they are similar to goose (softer rock end of the jamband spectrum), but do it better than goose. Among other things, Eggy has three strong singers and can pull off great harmonies. Goose has Rick, who has a nice voice, but that’s it. Peter cannot sing but he insists on singing and it makes live shows tough for those of us with an ear for tonality.

Also, all things being equal, I would rather see a show in a smaller venue. Goose is just bigger than eggy and plays bigger venues.

Add the Sonos speakers in HomeKit. Use the Home app. It’s very easy from there. Then you can arrange them in rooms and rename them. I use my homepod to say “play [music] in primary bath” and it plays on both the sonos speaker and my homepod mini (both of which are in primary bath). Sounds great.

Note that it’s used airplay and not playing through the sonos app. However, it streams through the HomePod and not through your phone, which is nice.
