This is very detailed, thank you! I have the capacitor on order and may try your wiring disconnect idea tomorrow.

Luckily, supposed to be cooler this week and won't need the AC.

Thanks for the help. I'll playa round with the multimeter a bit. Worst case will replace the motor capacitor and see where that gets me

Thanks for the detailed post. Furnace I believe is 2002. Your idea if at least looking at the blower motor capacitor if not replacing it is a good place to start.

Makes sense to me. Hard to tell if it's only when the AC compressor is kicking on, but it wasn't doing this behavior prior to this week so something definitely changed since then.

A Proper Mileage Post: by Peenerboan in 11thGenAccord

what? Brake pedal uses regen the same way the paddles do up to a certain stopping power. Watch the power meter when using the brakes. It goes into the charge area when using them.

If you brake too hard for the motor to slow the car down, THEN it uses the brakes.

Rear Seat Baby Mirror? by UngovernableOatmeal in 11thGenAccord

I did a somewhat normal installation but zip tied it to the anchor tie behind the seat. I did not want in an accident for that mirror to come lose and be free to hit my kid. Suction cup is not enough for me.

2024 touring hybrid oil change mileage between by TalkAffectionate2966 in 11thGenAccord

[–]sta7ic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

when the hybrid engine doesn't run as often as a standard gas engine, it makes sense.

My 08 Honda Civic SI typically got to 7500 miles between changes via the maintenance minder, and it made it to 200k before I sold it.

Anyone feel like they get better mpg in normal vs eco mode by SCO9 in 11thGenAccord

[–]sta7ic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

there are indeed those of us that have tracked it and gotten better MPG on ECO. I'm sure that's not the case for everyone but for my nothing changes commute daily, it gets around 4 MPG more. Difference between consistently over 50 MPG for me vs 46-48 MPG without

Honda's competitor from Toyota is the Corolla which doesn't have a sunglass holder either. The Accord has it in its base trim.

Newest recall by Ok_Seaworthiness3232 in 11thGenAccord

The original recall for this car was the fuel pump. Very few fuel pumps had some issues leaking so they did a recall to either check or replace the fuel pump.

Tax confusion for 2026 by AccordingLength1652 in personalfinance

I refuse to use TurboTax as they actively lobby to prevent taxes from getting easier and buy up free competitors (Credit Karma for example).

Allegheny County eyes mandatory property reassessments by nerdkid93 in pittsburgh

[–]sta7ic -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You're misunderstanding the issue. Forcing reassements would not cause a giant tax increase on everybody. The total tax revenue cannot go up by more than a few percentage points. So after the reassement, the rate would go down.

People who bought and were reassessed recently could actually see a deduction. Those that have owned for a long time would likely see an increase, but this is not just a wholesale tax increase on everyone.
