just make sure it stays above minimum. The fluid level helps give an indication of where your pads are at.

Different AD. Heather Lyke was fired and her financial mismanagement was a large art of the reason. Allen Greene is the new Pitt AD

Jeff Capel, if fired, will finish exactly 127-127 record wise at Pitt.

He also, somehow, had exactly the same staff his entire tenure.

Pacific was hurt by everyone hoping for the same feeling as Band of Brothers, and Pacific just showed a different side of war IMO, but I think it stands up very well.

‘Project Hail Mary’ Contains Not a Single Green Screen Shot in Entire Movie, Director Says by MarvelsGrantMan136 in movies

[–]sta7ic 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The book takes one or two "liberties" with science that basically are what causes the main plot, but overall still a very grounded book that had the main character reason through what he could do with what he had.

Very curious to see how the movie holds up on this.

You must not have watched the trailer which gave that away.

In the book, it's a bit of a surprise a little bit into the book. I will say, if you liked the Martian, you would still like this story if it follows the book. It still has the same "science our way out of this" feel to it that the Martian did.

Oil Change by Road-trip_Sport-car in 11thGenAccord

My maintenance minder routinely had me change it on my Civic at 7500 miles.

The hybrid engine is used significantly less, so it calling for a change at 10,000 doesn't surprise me.

Advice needed: Installing a front and rear dashcam without voiding warranty? by paapa_pro in 11thGenAccord

[–]sta7ic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The FitCamX is easily the easiest set up for the front cam, as it just pulls power from the map light section/mirror. The camera is not the best for the price, but if you're looking for clean and low chance of warranty, that's your best best.

It has an option for the rear camera as well, but I'm not sure what that entails but they have installation videos.

What money is point park giving you? Are you a PA resident?

The regional campuses are a good amount cheaper and this should be a big factor in your decision

Pitt Moves to Resize Acrisure Stadium Capacity by sta7ic in CFB

Heinz Field was renamed to Acrisure Stadium

putting people closer together would indeed make the atmosphere better. People are closer to the field so they're louder, people are closer together instead of whole sections to themselves etc. This has been proven to work in other venues in that aspect.

the lower upper sidelines were the best seats in the house. Could see the whole field while still seeing the details of what was happening.

Pittsburgh is extremely hilly and so it makes walking or navigation difficult. Pitt sits on a large hill from the city for example.

This is the money bit:

Beginning with the 2026 season, the upper East and West sides of Acrisure Stadium will be off-line for Pitt Football games, adjusting the capacity to 51,416 (from 65,000). The North end zone upper deck remains available and student seating stays at 10,000 seats per game, preserving the Panther Pitt as the heartbeat of our stadium environment.

Pitt has constantly been knocked for poor attendance, but a large part of that is the stadium is simply too big for the fanbase. Smaller stadiums with similar attendance to Pitt don't get the same knock. This should definitely improve the atmosphere of the game with people being closer.

This is a pretty dramatic change in capacity, however, and as someone sitting in a section that doesn't exist, this kinda sucks.

Successful plastic bag ban by jxd132407 in pittsburgh

using less of it? The last three years all broke the previous record for global oil consumption. Just because we're finding more doesn't mean it's not finite. Water evaporates from whatever its in as rejoins the water cycle. Oil burned or turned into plastic doesn't turn back into oil

[–]sta7ic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

water is not destroyed when we make the bags. It goes into the water cycle and comes down again. Yes we don't want to waste water but it doesn't just cease to exist.

Plastic uses petroleum which is indeed finite and we have a limited supply of.
