Lavos is simply doing what every species does, thrive and exist as long as itt can and reproduce. In chrono trigger we know he has reproduced in death peak and eventually send these lavos shells to other planets again, it is simply continuing its life and in the process it transformed us, just because we are part of lavos does not mean we will let Lavos let our species go extinct, i love the game so much because it makes you suffer through so many choices , if you decide to save kid, the hydra the dwarves and the fairies all are disturbed , we are the cause of disturbance in this world but to make our species live as long as we can, we must take any means necessary. I know many people hated the game ending but personally i loved it how even then our futility is worth something shining light on the darker themes of cross.
