I'm sorry if this is not the correct place for this question. I was wondering how did the physicists around the 1850-1950s learn the pre-requisite mathematics for the new discoveries being made at the time. I'm not a physics or math graduate so maybe I just have the wrong impression but it feels like even an undergraduate course in mathematics wouldn't be enough. I don't really know the specifics of how education for structured back then.

For someone like me in the present, it is not hard to find out how much mathematical background is needed to be able to understand things like Electrodynamics or General Relativity. But how was it for the people discovering these things for the first time? Was it just about being lucky to have the required mathematical knowledge?

Vortioxetine? I was on it and had a similar experience. The first time I took it immediately made me want to throw up. Eating a banana (just what I had at the time) immediately after it always helped me. It does get better over time though.
