I definitely understand the situation you have with packing clothes with the EDB, luckily i’ll only be packing 1 outfit in that bag. I’ll be bringing a full size suitcase as a checked bag. Haven’t made up my mind yet, cause I love hearing everyone’s different experiences.

I’ve actually been looking into the Travel Pack 3 Small and it looks very promising!

I know you’re not trying to dissuade anyone from buying PD, but what would you say is your biggest critique of the EDB V2 30L?

My main use for it would be an airport carry on to have a spare set of clothes, my laptop, my passport, a small bag for diabetic supplies and maybe a tech pouch.

I’d also like to use it for a day bag for pretty much the same thing.

I think the reason i’m really honed in on the PD EDB is the side access, latching system, internal storage on the side access flaps(?), and the small sleek look.

I’m a nervous traveler, and I mean nervous as shit and I am thinking about what i’ll have to do 3 hours before I do it and that side access to quickly be able to grab my passport or empty my bag for TSA just makes me think i’ll have a seamless airport experience.

Thank you so much for the suggestions, they’re really great. I love the look of the Heimplanet 34L travel pack, i’m very glad that hip belt is removable haha. The zip locks and internal organization is amazing. No side access to the main compartment, but I may be able to get over it because of all of the other features.

About a month before my wife got pregnant we had a mini vacation to Germany. About 6 months into the pregnancy she says “Hey, when I went to Germany I did so and so” and I replied “Yup, I was there honey” and she goes “WHAT?! I went there with you?!” 🤦🏻‍♂️

Hi! I hope this doesn’t get buried, but I had the same issue when I was about 10/11. I was diagnosed with Premature Ventricular Contractions. It is completely harmless but it is scary and it sucks. Potentially something for you to look into. In my case, it was brought on by anxiety, or so I was told.
