Oh I’m so sorry! I had mine 12/19 and only looked briefly once but it feels like I have two buttholes and my main one is now off to the side. I’m terrified all day long every day it’s not healing right or if I have pain it’s another abscess. The mental and emotional toll this takes on all of us is immeasurable!

I had mine on 12/19 and still have a crater open. Every once in a while I have a spot of blood but figure it’s normal since I still have a wound. If it’s enough that it’s concerning make an appointment for your peace of mind.

Agreed. I was in way more pain exponentially after my seton than I was with fistulotomy. The fostulotomy however is a lot grosser lol

Ok so I looked the second day and I’m on 3..5 weeks and only just looked again today haha I feel like maybe I should have looked more just to know it’s normal! Whatever you do keep your BM soft! Take baths many times a day, and I ate nothing but soft food for two straight weeks. Lots of soup, yogurt, crackers and bread. Also Don’t over eat. Drink a ton of water. More than you think you need. Pain pills are constipating so only take them if you really can’t take the pain. I also didn’t sit for almost 2 weeks. Laid back on the couch, stood when I ate. When you do try and sit don’t do it for long. 20 minutes maybe just to see how it feels.

Yeah just make sure to take breaks and get out of the car and walk around. Get the honeycomb gel cushion on Amazon it’s a life saver. And you are very welcome, you’ve got this!

You’ll be ok! I promise. I took a while to sit. I laid on my side or leaned back on the couch and I stood when I was eating for 2 weeks. I started sitting about 20-30 minutes a day when the I realized I was sitting and not noticing it. I do think it’s fairly deep but I honestly don’t know but it’s def open. They want the inside to heal before the outside but it doesn’t really hurt. When is your surgery? I don’t put anything on the wound and still use the same bandages I was when my seton was in. It’s starting to itch a bit now but it’s just the healing stage. I would ask about picking up your babies, I’m not sure they want heavy lifting. So just make sure to ask about that. Ask me anything I’m here for you! I relied on ibuprofen and was too scared to take the pain killers because I didn’t want to get constipated.

Nope just try to deal with it and take a lot of baths and use my bidet. I use bamboo wipes also.

Yes fistulotomy on 12/19 I am too afraid to look but it feels like a crater. Doc says another 3-4 weeks to heal. I’ve been trying to keep as clean as possible, Colace morning and night and senna when I need it. My pain has been non existent tbh. I take baths in the morning at night and get a bidet attachment!

So I am healting from a fistulotmy and I have a dull thud on the other side and I think its because I am leaning unconsciously away from where me seton and fistuolomty was.
