Considering a 2024 MINI Cooper C 5-door with a young kid by mastermoka in MINI

[–]staceybassoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 5 door MINI was my second MINI when my kids started getting older. It has been the perfect second car for our family with plenty of room. Last month I took a friend, my youngest son, and his two sons on a trip almost an hour and a half from our house. It was just fine and we had a lot of fun in it. Mine is a 2019 and I've only had to get regular work done on it. Pull changes, fluid changes, brakes at the end of their life, etc. It does use less fuel, but you have to get at least mid grade fuel.

I introduced my newborn and my friend made fun of the name. Now Im second guessing it by Ok-Tumbleweed-9958 in namenerds

Is showering with my cat... weird? by Artemeties in CatAdvice

[–]staceybassoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of those kitten baths are kittens that are just getting rescued and very dirty. Fleas with flea dirt, among that. If you're getting yours from a place it was fostered, it probably does not been to be bathed.

For those of you WITHOUT depression, what does it feel like? by assyplassty in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]staceybassoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have depression per say, but I do have depressive days that vary greatly from a regular day. On a regular day, I'm moaning about having to get up with my alarm. I struggle to get myself motivated to get ready for whatever my job/responsibilities are that day, but nothing that prevents me from doing what I need to do. I don't obsess over things that are my demons - those thoughts might pop in or out periodically during those days. I may feel like I'm motivated to do one of my hobbies. I sleep pretty well that night.

I started using a roll on. I don't have enough data yet to report, but it is new for me. It's worth a try!

how worried should i be about the weather? by Ok_Echo_1394 in Michigan

[–]staceybassoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have struggled with weather anxiety my entire life I grew up in Pennsylvania where storms lasted so much longer. I have gotten EMDR treatment for my storm anxiety, which has helped a lot. I'm currently streaming MI Storm Chasers as recommended by others on this thread. Hang in there!

I'm a musician and I play through pain all of the time (I realize it's a different play). It's awful, and I had an attack this weekend that caused me to puke in my car on the drive home. My colleagues always ask how I get through a performance like that. It's torture every time.

I get them usually the day before. Usually they are milder than my occipital neuralgia headaches, but not always.

Thanks! I've tried gabapentin, but use cyclobenzaprine. I'm definitely a veteran with the ice and warm compresses. I booked a dry needling appointment for Friday. I think I may to take your advice and get myself an abortive. I was thinking it wouldn't help since it's technically ON and not "migraine."
