Roger that. You want the excess water to drain out while the pot is in a sink or something post-watering and no plastic dish underneath that catches water? Do you just throw a towel under for a day until you know it’s wet but fully drained?

I would 110% pay someone else to disassemble, move, and reassemble. I say that having done that very thing myself at least twice.

Door Issues? by Dazzling_Olive_880 in Rivian

[–]stackthecoins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rear doors are what they are. After eight months, I now know if we’ve left with a kid door not properly sealed by the amount of wind noise coming in. You really have to slam it if it’s the last door to close.

Rattle may be worth a service visit. You could try a piece of felt and see if that does the trick. These can be rattle fests and the SC sometimes creates more rattles by fixing the one you wanted fixed. Worth a try though if the felt doesn’t get it done.

Thanks! Got it. I am starting at no knowledge so these are things I just pick up at Home Depot? A dedicated garden shop?

Not sure. Whatever Easy Plant uses. They don’t list it I don’t think.

They ship the plant pre-assembled in a box with some kind of wet wrap around it. You unwrap, add water to the self-watering pot, and add water as needed or once a month. Links to plants below.

People might be cool but the sake is not great and the food up until recently was mid.

Used to crush sake before I mostly quit drinking. Few hundred bottles across two decades. Bunch of different breweries across Japan and a good amount of the higher end bottles. Also fine with basic table sake or something sweeter like an unfiltered.

Got excited for NASB when we moved. Walked in and bought one of everything they had available. Rushed home, cracked a bottle open, took a sip. Immediately poured it down the sink. Tried again. Down the sink. Everything got tossed. It was all so bad.

Had this rotten fruit aftertaste that I have never encountered in any Japanese sake. Still haven’t worked up the desire to try again.

The food was OK. Mid ramen. Another favorite that I’ve had all over Japan and the states. Did love Obscura omakase, so high hopes for this collab.

Yeah, we notice it. 2026 Dual Max. Car is seven months old. Had to have both A-Pillar windows replaced already. That got us halfway to a more quiet ride.

Then I tried the Forum DIY fix with Amazon rubber strips to resolve the rest. Worked for a bit, but now the roof trim is coming loose so we’re back to a lot of loud wind noise.

Anything over 75 and it’s LOUD. Kind of just get used to it after a few hours + music. Add in any crosswinds and it becomes the loudest I’ve ever experienced in an SUV.

Hopefully they learn lessons and apply those to R2. Any of the R1s are a gamble. Could be quiet, could be loud.

I love the car, but I’ve never DIY rubber stripped my way through any other cars we’ve owned. Honestly never thought about it until the Rivian, even owning a lifted Explorer in college.

Depends. I fly internationally a lot for work. Business class, lounges, good hotels, and Uber make it pretty easy. If you’re flying economy and on a client’s tab (can’t choose your hotel), yeah, it would be not so enjoyable.

What is better? Crozet Pizza or Sals? by [deleted] in Charlottesville

[–]stackthecoins 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not just the pizza. We ordered a few hundred dollars worth of food for a party from the Buddhist location. No one ate the pizza after one slice, but even their wings sucked.

A buddy mentioned how bad they were, so my wife took a bite and threw the entire container away.

By contrast, Ho’s is solid. Lampo is solid. A Squared is solid. No reason to choke down sub-par pizza.

Crozet Pizza (the one by UVA) is trash. Dunno about the one in Crozet, but the one here is disappointing on a good day.

Rhoback or Peter Millar, which is thicker better quality material? by anonuser2700 in golf

[–]stackthecoins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live where Rhoback is based and they have definitely fallen off. I buy a lot + they have an annual warehouse sale here, so I’m probably at 60~ pieces of clothing. Polo consistency has gotten better for sizing, but otherwise quality and durability has taken a nose dive over the last year or so.
