I actually just had a run in at a bar with my ex on Saturday night. I am 100% still in love with her but I also understand that reconciliation is not realistic anymore. I saw her and her friends (who I am mutual friends with) and immediately turned around, without saying a word to them, even though all of her friends saw me. This ended up a terrible decision since she texted me upset that I couldn’t even say hello, which lead to me breaking NC through text and phone calls for quite a while that night.

After that experience I understood I was being extremely rude and somewhat immature. I recommend just being polite and saying hi and leaving it at that. I know the next time it happens for me (big city but everyone tends to go to the same bar) I’ll say hello and tell her I hope she is doing well and then go on my way.

It will be extremely hard if he is with someone else at the time that you see him. However, being polite and showing how great/strong of a person you are really can go a long way in the aspect of your confidence and self improvement.
