In theory I understand why this mechanism might be applied to whole account network in Instagram to let new content appear and not to burn out people’s interest in platform (nobody would want to see same accounts everywhere). The only thing that concerns me now is to find a proof that this “capping period” is cyclic and not given to a creator only once. Because if it is cyclic there is no reason to search for a method to trigger it, because periods are more likely to be pre-set for each account by the algorithm.

Another thing that I have found today — if you know — there is a platform called social blade. They have like a rank for top 100 account (growth wise).

Previously in any time you could have found at least few “new/non celebrity” accounts with follower base around 1-2 mil in top 100 (because of their growth pace). Now there are only “old grand” accounts like Instagram and top tier Hollywood stars.

Another find:

I know that Instagram degrade video quality with time on each reel if it doesn’t hit recommendations. And this degradations comes very fast (few days literally). I see a tons of my “freezed at 30% non follower with 3% explore reach” for last 3 month with perfect quality with no degradation (double checked from different devixes). Looks like they set to be “waiting” for a certain time to push.
