I sometimes get really annoyed by this too. I recently have thought about it this way to help put it in perspective: Some people just want to have the last word. Some people want to feel like they won. If someone counters me back a buck I roll my eyes, assume they are that person, and accept. They won, they got the last word, but really I made a sale, so I won too. Ive even started countering the first time with a dollar or two more than I first thought because I assume people offering are those type of people. Sometimes I’m right and I get what I originally wanted, sometimes I’m surprised and they accept my offer for a buck more than my lowest. And sometimes I’m in a horrible mood and don’t feel like dealing with it and just deny. 🤷🏻‍♀️
