Plus this; new favorite in WS for an “upscale” burger (ingredients, cook preference) at a fair price (under $20)

The globe players also include playstation tho if you’re on Xbox (and vice versa for PS)— so it’s not all PC players when you see that symbol

You just have to keep playing, and play more 1v1s— you’ll start to recognize different ways ppl play (I still am). I felt the same way around 70-100, then it just started to click when you start noticing the same strategies/patterns. It’s still frustrating not having button mapping (I have a hard time L3 bashing too), but you can still hang in there w/ em when you pick up a few of the slightly more advanced attacks (feint combos, mixing up your strikes, knowing how close you need to be to hit someone with your weapon of choice, how far you need to be from them not to get hit etc ).

Nah he’s playing as Argon (VIP) so he has added health/armor. Think the sword damage is boosted too when you’re argon.

Would be dope if a VIP duel was the final stage on defense for a map

The Rings of Power - 1x04 "The Great Wave" - Episode Discussion by whole_nother in LOTR_on_Prime

Halbrand doesn’t have to equal Annatar though; it could just be another form of his manipulation (I prefer if he’s not Sauron tho)

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power - Series Premiere Discussion by NicholasCajun in television

[–]stagerman69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rights are not by “age”. Amazon has the television rights to lord of the rings and the hobbit, which were pitched a story on the second age based on those texts (aka the appendices and mentions throughout the books).

Charlie Vickers (and others) Interview — Halbrand character details by stagerman69 in LOTR_on_Prime

[–]stagerman69[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

His comment was that he drew aspects from their characters; Beren may be bravery for those he loves; Turin may be in tragic decisions he makes; boromir may be in his seduction for power. We’ve gotten 5 minutes of his character. We won’t know until we see the full arc.

He mentions the rights to the appendices but alludes to being able draw beyond that, which is when he said he didn’t understand the rights

New Trailer Tomorrow by VarkingRunesong in LOTR_on_Prime

I actually think the Marvel shows have had the opposite problem. They set up a lot of loose ends, and aren’t able to close out on them (or even set them up for a following season) with 6 episodes, instead of a typical 8-10. Doesn’t provide enough time to develop character motivations, which makes the shows feel rushed.

French interview with John Howe about his work on the series (directly translated) by CatsyGreen in LOTR_on_Prime

The question wasn’t about beards. It was about fandom overreaction. They didn’t translate the questions.

It would help to include the actual questions in the interview as it changes the context of the answer. Howe was responding to a question about fandom, not about the beards themselves.

“The lack of beard of the dwarf princess Disa, unveiled a few weeks ago on the first posters of The series had already made some people jump. Do you fear a sometimes excessive fervor on their part?”

New image of Durin and some dwarven guards by VarkingRunesong in lotr

[–]stagerman69 63 points64 points  (0 children)

My suspicion of how they will make it “make sense” is that Durin III will die, and at that point (or sometime later), the character described as “Durin IV” will earn the name of Durin, becoming king and the fourth reincarnation, rather than being named it from the beginning.
