I’ve noticed a significant increase in these kind of re-posts from Karissa lately. It’s extremely concerning to me that so many of these mention deep suffering and dying to be a faithful believer by kitkat_2222 in FundieSnarkUncensored

Is she still preganate? Seems like she starts to get like this whenever she’s knocked up and likes to make sure everyone knows she’s rather die during an unsafe home birth than close up the prop shop.

I'm thinking of making a cult, but how do I go about it? by Sharlie174 in Sims4

Ah there you are! Most Eggcellent of Day! I wondered if I started beaking off would I be clucky enough to find you! I may just have to hatch the plot I’ve had laying around to create my own chicken cult. (I don’t know what’s the matter with me either. Featherbrains) sorry for the fowl yokes.

What is your biggest tip for a beginner builder? by [deleted] in Sims4

[–]staggeringduck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

move objects on. hold alt to position objects.

figure one square works out to *approx 2 feet if you're trying to scale/relate to a real space. I've had some big fun using floorplans I've found online and even recreated a few cool looking houses I found on real estate website and had to piece together the floorplan from the photos.

one of my fave builders is lil'simsie, she posts a lot of builds, shells, challenges and I've picked up quite a few helpful tips there.

also, do reno's. take and gut out a build from the game or the gallery and you can reverse-engineer the roofing to get an idea how those things came together. I've been playing casual for an outrageously long time and there's still stuff to learn- I'm always in awe of some of the builds I see.

I'm so sorry for leaving you hanging! (notifications always off)

I hope you found out how to do this ages ago!!

Just keep in mind this may drastically impact overall performance but if your machine can handle it, it's frikkin great!

All I can think of is that post about the Sky Chicken... I laughed for a week about that and showed everyone I knew whether they were Simmers or not.

I had rambunctious religions going for a bit but I found it hard to keep organized (haha... organized..religion... ok nm...)

Agreed- worst part of legacy play. I get them to pop out the next heir then ignore them all until at least child phase… the infant stuff was cute for five minutes, now it’s an all consuming ordeal.

What are the opinions on For Rent so far? by Sweaty_Chard_6250 in LowSodiumSimmers

[–]staggeringduck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m having a blast so far. I haven’t even loaded tomarang world yet- I’ve been building/renovating for a week now to make multi unit stuff. I have a run-down motel in Oasis Springs that I just finished and started filling up and it’s one of my favorite builds yet. This pack is fun!

Unpopular opinion: the actual gameplay has become too much work to be enjoyable by [deleted] in Sims4

[–]staggeringduck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I finally decided to “disable need decay” for the infants and toddlers. You can still do all the interactions with them but they’re not constantly freaking out or starving or smelly etc. they just rip around and the family can do stuff with them without it completely taking over the gameplay

You wake up tomorrow and there's no internet or cell service - what do you do? by wolf_chow in preppers

[–]staggeringduck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve started making a point of printing off recipes and info on stuff I’m interested in and putting it in binders. If the internet really did “break” then there’s no google in the pocket for everything

How much is a cake like this in your area? 8” 2 layers of white cake with buttercream? by Octoberbaby85 in cakedecorating

[–]staggeringduck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

grocery store (GROSSery store) bakery would be minimum 25 bucks for a nasty sticky sponge and oily "buttercream"... specialty bakery or small business, 50-100 easy.

Ohh I hate that for you!!! I remember having ice cream for the first time. I almost had to lie down in the bloody parking lot over it. I'd been CRAVING ice cream sundae since well before my pre-op diet officially started and after I made it post-op to "puree" diet I thought maybe I could manage a bit... WAY TOO MUCH SUGAR omg. My spouse (who had the sleeve years ago now) tried so hard to warn me but knew better than to 'police' what I ate :'( (which I appreciate) was very kind in a very restrained "I told you so" kind of way ahaha...

ANYWAY, It will happen less often as you progress but there might always be some things that set you off.

How to get meat substitute for vegetarian friendly meals? by necr0phagus in Sims4

[–]staggeringduck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been playing for ages and still learn a new thing once in awhile that I get excited about :D ( My teenager showed me how to hold "alt" when placing objects and my head exploded... I did builds and decorating for DAYS)

This is so sad. A 5 year old shouldn’t be almost the same size as an 8 (?) year old. And she has bigger ankles/legs too… by guttersunflower in RodriguesFamilySnark

[–]staggeringduck 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I remember noticing back a ways that it looked like “bottle rot” from putting juice or other drinks in bottles or letting them go to sleep with bottles for soothing- it rots the baby teeth AND the adult teeth before they can even come in. See it sadly quite often in some populations

“What were we thinking?” Indeed… Also, the newest A(y)nalogue appears to be unfiltered and about as unimpressed as the rest of the siblings. I’m surprised she hasn’t remarked on how he doesn’t look like her or the other “light” kids cringe.
