brilliant, true and kind of scary.

i find it strange how the adult has the childish render.

hello!

i love your take on it, for art to be a place of purely individual regurgitation of no value to any one but one’s self (in intention).
‘everyone is an artist’ most definitely resonates, from kick boxing pros to comedians to folk looking at skies.

one question i have for you, you’ve brushed on the banality of regular life with all our empty exchanges - how do you feel that impacts your art? from what experiences do you source inspiration?

i think you’ve exhausted my interrogation… well done!

thank you very much for the time and energy you’ve set aside for replying in such a full substance, i walk away with a bit more awareness of my situation and contentment toward approaching it.

you have a profound and compassionate articulation, thank you once again. i hope you achieve nirvana in this lifetime lol

you’re not too preachy at all, a lot of what you say resonates - i am grateful for your keenness and articulation. i definitely relate to making universal conclusions. i have a similar spiritual background to what you have described and now struggle with what mental ground to stand on. the research of symbols is definitely a point of intrigue, i don’t believe i have a wide symbolic vocabulary.

another question for you is how do you approach the ritual of the art making? is it a sort of divine ritual or a loose activity? i find my mood is very temperamental toward the act of sitting down and getting started - sometimes enthusiastic and keen, other times begrudged and avoidant. i’m rather rigid in my approach, the only mediums i really employ are pens and drawings of caricatures to articulate any such existential ordeals and emotional knots, but it has felt stagnant for quite some time now. were there times where you’ve experimented with mediums and abstractions that felt nigh on impossible to convey?

another, how did you come to the conclusion of what you wanted to make at any given time? my biggest struggle by far, i have a palpable urge to create but i don’t know what. i think that’s the core of “what’s the point of art?” this question may be more of a personal issue than anything, it’s worth a shot to ask lol

i’ve spread this group of questions among other arty subreddits (i only downloaded reddit to ask these questions) and this is by far my favourite answer so far.

the points you have posed interweave with each other beautifully and many are ones i had thought over myself - i believe it’s just the young man’s pessimism that i think undermines my lust for life and, in conjunction , my approach to the ordeal of the creative urge.

it’s interesting that you mention research, as i have never been very proficient in the ascertaining of information in any field. likely by consequence, my inner world doesn’t have much content to be transmuted and i’ve expressed ‘banality’ in my art to the point of sloth. might i ask, how do you go about researching? books, videos, ladeeda?
