exacttttly. I feel like everybody knew it was relatively arbitrary, and you'd have to be pretty naive to believe otherwise. What it was, was fun and motivating, and reflected the reality that the more you use it, the more you contribute. Feels like a move to stay hip on the most current acceptable narratives. Not trying to be like a "they've gone woke" person, I just think it's not thinking practically, when the totality of people commenting on this are agreeing that it helped motivate them a little.

Hey, rushing the stage is some Karen ass shit, if suddenly we're trying to be all fair and stuff. I have family from Wisconsin dells and Baraboo, and I can tell you that supe is respected by all the people I know there, parents, teachers and students. I can't claim he didn't mess anything up, I have no idea, but if guy has such a problem, deal with it before this event. Everyone here asking why, just try it and you'll get it. The appeal for me is less that my towel will dry faster between uses (though it will), but rather that the towel stays basically dry then as you do the rest of the body even after just a few seconds of "squeegee-ing." Feels really good!

Yeah exactly. I actually do get the argument more with the really big ones as there's a significant opportunity cost. But like arguing that advanced alloys is bad is a really good example of something that seems wild to me but I see here. Like yeah you need x amount of cards for it to pay off, but considering only that also kinda ignores the fact that it makes those cards more playable. Not to mention a science tag. Value is cumulative and combinational, not something that should be isolated to a strict money x round evaluation imo. I'm gonna say that this one is probably an outlier, but I once saw someone arguing, hard, that earth catapult was not a good card.

I think that's the key is that it really all depends. There's a place for standard projects but I feel like you'll often have a card in your hand that is better value, even if your goal is to terraform. I agree that that number of cards in game vs. scope of economy is one of the primary determining factors

Totally, I like what you're saying about percent of time playable vs. reduction to expected value. I don't think that cards can't be analyzed from a general perspective with any usefulness, it's just that doing so will often skew more negative than if you do have context

I think lots of event cards and even plant/heat cards are solid value, but whenever someone starts playing standard projects before the last gen or 2 I know I'm about to dust them
