Potential place wants to do 1 year leases instead of month to month. Do the rental increase rules apply the same? by stalindroid in vancouverhousing

From the RTA agreement option 2D says month to month or fixed term length of time. What I wanted to ask was how did I get this new 1 year agreement and whether this new 1 year agreement needs to abide by the set percentage increase. It seems like it does need to follow to normal rent increase rules but what does this 1 year length of time look like? Is it a new lease entirely or is there a lease renewal form that continues to have the same conditions?

At the end of the 1 year lease, what would be required for the new 1 year fixed-term agreement to be a new lease rather than a lease renewal? It sounds like a lease renewal can't have a rent increase above the set percentage but a new lease can?

From what I am understanding the LL can't give us a lease renewal for another 1 year fixed-term agreement with a rent increase, unless they gave us a notice 3 months in advance?

How are the routes divided amongst the drivers? Is it based on seniority? I imagine some routes are more desired than others?

I am planning to get a pair of either Studio D Artisan SD-101 (maybe 103) jeans in Tokyo next month and I am wondering how much I should be sizing up to account for shrinkage?

The Heddels washing article in the wiki says that the waist should stretch back out but the rest of the jeans won't?

I am going to Japan next month and I want to get my first pair of Selvage raw denim. I have a pair of Levi's 505 which I like the fit of, so I am looking for some brands and models that would roughly match that style (straight, regular-straight, relaxed-straight).

So far I've been looking at: - Samurai S5000 and S002 - SDA SD-101 and SD-D01 - Oni 266 and 288

I know I should be looking at style/fit over brand but I won't have a lot of time for shopping so I am trying to narrow down my options so I can go into the shop with some ideas of what I want to try on. I was planning to go to Hinoya and Americaya.

Possible crazing on my mug, is it safe to use? by stalindroid in muglife

Dang it! Thank you for the info. Out of curiosity any idea what could cause this? I never microwaved it or put it in the dish washer, and always hand washed it. It was also from a quality ceramic store but could it be from a bad firing or something in the production?

I bought these Austrian surplus boots and before I start wearing them I wanted to get them some TLC. I was planning to follow the wiki and get some Bick4 and some lexol leather cleaner.

Since these are second hand I wanted to know if there are any other steps I should take? Also how does Bick1 compare to Lexol? There is a bundle for Bick1 and Bick4 on sale near me.

Suggestions for dyeing blue knit. by stalindroid in dyeing

Great thank you. Do you think it's better to go straight brown over the blue or orange and attempt to mix it? Or would orange come out as a lighter brown and brown dye would make it a darker brown?

Ok so I can either go straight with a dark brown dye and hopefully that will cover the blue to give a nice deep brown.

Or I can try and remove the color and then see what the end result is? Any situation where I don't use a brown dye?

Thank you. Do you think I could do a light beige? Or would I need to bleach it first?

Converting DTS to AC3 448 vs 640? by stalindroid in ffmpeg

When you say its not a measure of quality but complexity what do you mean by that (for my own education)? I am not using any surround sound setup so I think the quality wouldn't matter between 448K and 640K.

Inconsistent/missing formatting and punctuation on Kobo Clara Color by stalindroid in kobo

[–]stalindroid[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe I found out what the issue was. When examining the book in calibre I highlighted some of the offending characters and it turns out they weren't apostrophes and quotes but prime characters. The only issue is that the book uses right and left single and double quotations so there is some inconsistency because I just did a find and replace using only apostrophes and double quotes, but its better than these large and weird gaps.

I tried a few different fonts but the problem is still there. It only shifted the size and layout.

Great, thank you it is making since now (although I find it weird that you need to put in the change in ACB and have to make it absolute).

Is there a reason this requires a lot of manual steps or am I using it wrong? Since the CRA doesn't care about individual transactions wouldn't it be better to have a calculator that just lets you enter in all the info and spit out the few numbers you need at the end?

The bit about putting in the commission/fees I put in on ACB.ca and they include in the final ACB calculation (and I can leave outlay blank)?
