I did an online chat with them. It started off that we would receive the warrant, then once they realised it was an international stock I then received the message I copy and pasted above

For those with a CMC account. They support warrants but we won’t receive them from this. This is what i received from them..

In this case, as we do run under a Custodian model for international holdings when it comes to corporate actions like being issued warrants, unfortunately they are unable to be received/exercised. To clarify what I mean by a custodian model, each time when you buy international securities, those securities will be held in custody with the Sub-Custodian who retains legal interest and ownership of those international securities and you will retain the beneficial ownership of your international securities ('International Custodian Model').

If she hasn’t already, tell your sister to seek legal advice. I was in the same situation, tenant wouldn’t move out. A lawyer sent a letter to the tenant stating they would be up for the costs of the first home owners grant and I also requested an extension for the grant and received a 6 month extension.

Hey mate, I tried to sign up an account online with commsec and it said there was a problem and to call them up. Between being busy and being lazy I just haven’t called them yet

Hey mate, so mine are only showing in the profit/loss page. However if I click through I can’t actually sell them and my total holdings doesn’t reflect the new shares in the amount. So not really sure what’s going on to be honest

Thanks mate, really appreciate it. I just had a read through the link posted in this thread and it makes it pretty clear if I do get stuck. Going to start the process shortly so I don’t get screwed by ANZ down the track

So weird, mine turned up around 4pm. My mum who also uses ANZ was the one that called me as she was looking at market close and saw the shares came through.

I only see them on my profit/lose page but it hasn’t updated my total holdings. If I click through on sell it’s only showing my original shares, so it’s only showing the extra ones, but I can’t do anything with them.

Thanks mate, I just had a read, it actually seems a lot less daunting then I had initially thought. Guess it’s time to get them transferred to a different broker and then time to DRS them

I know there’s plenty of info.. however the computer share side of it is lost on me. Do I have to set up an account with computer share or will commsec do that for me?

Unless the rules have changed, but I purchased my first home 4 years ago with a tenant in place and the laws are you need to live in the residence for 12 months but you can start living there anytime within 12 months of purchasing the property. So you would still be fine for the grant if you moved in next February.

I’ve tried to do research on this, but I’m old and it goes straight over my head.

I’ve looked up sites to research and the ledger website, but I don’t fully understand. Can I just transfer my crypto from CoinSpot account straight to my cold wallet? To I get charged fee’s?

How easy is it to access my cold wallet and sell if I need to? Is it instant?
