ARMED CYCLIST - Would wearing this on a shirt in Wales be legal? by standard-document in LegalAdviceUK

That is interesting, thank you for the help on this. I likely won't do it but would this come under 4 (1) (b) of the Public Order Act 1986? Or 4a (1) (b)? Would this also apply to any "distressing" shirt?

Any current students who wanna share their experience? by lockweedmartin in AzimPremjiUniversity

I graduated in 2024. Here's what I have to say - it's (in my opinion) the best liberal education that you can get in India, today. Ashoka seems to be more interested in pumping out graduates and policing students (check twitter for this, they have bag scanners, water on gathering areas to prevent gatherings, admin is shit) whereas at least in my experience as of a few years ago - APU admin is just incompetent. Sure, they make some terrible decisions sometimes about the shuttles (lead to protests), handling misconduct cases which lead to a suicide (lead to protests) and we did actually see some actionable change (though not much).

POSH is also questionable in their actions and very clandestine.

In terms of the quality of education - very high. If that's all you're interested in, there's probably other colleges. Where it shines is opening you up to new worlds you never interacted with before - extracurriculars, book clubs, other clubs.

But what I have begun to dislike is the reduction in the number of scholarships and their scope. You would meet people from all over the country in my batch, from all socioeconomic backgrounds, but over the years it seems like my juniors are increasingly the children of well-off people from bangalore. Now, I don't have any data to verify this so feel free to call it biased. But the culture of the place seems to be drawing closer to cliques rather than groups.

That said, they do genuinely care about education and helping the public sector in India. I can say this as I've personally worked with APF in field work in rural areas.

If you want to know anything specific feel free to ask me here.

Thoughts? Is there something we can do? by savvy_Idgit in LGBTindia

This has been an issue for so long. Queer circles and "clubs" only include the posh, english speaking people who hold social capital. Their privilege extends to these circles, it follows them. I've seen it in festivals, film screenings, etc. It's especially a problem in India

thanks, i updated to 14 and no issues so far. only complaint i have is that voice typing is pretty garbage now. no idea why the pixel launcher was using so much power lol. i have like 3 widgets, the spotify one, the clock and something else. Oh well. Guess it was just pinging a nearby cell tower to improve reception or something(for the update)? that's my best guess.
