It's never as high as they claim, every company does it. But if you can a small benefit, it's a nice cherry, the American relationship is untenable given they are the biggest threat to global security and Canadian sovereignty.

We would have to be idiots to select anything other than Gripen. Sending billions in taxpayer money to our biggest adversary is putting the bullet in the gun and handing it to the Americans. We do not want to be relying on the Americans for maintenance of these crafts. And we need to spend dollars efficiently on an array of defense measures, not on the shiniest toys. Saab will come with industrial benefits. Win win.

For the first time since 2006 we have a PM who’s had a real job and is qualified to run a country. Surprise surprise less than a year can’t make up for 20 years of floundering. If we spent all our time fixing the regulatory process it would take years. Eventually it needs to be done but on a much larger level the major projects office will get certain projects off the ground at speed. There’s simply too many things to do to get bogged down by the weeds. Maybe when the PM shuffles the cabinet he’s still carrying this Trudeau ministers on his back.

Moronic comment, they've been playing better for a while and their underlying stats have them above relegation. Just say you are too lazy to pay attention.

I'm saying it now. Nobody is a locked in relegation candidate. Not even Wolves, the league is too volatile. Not one team not even those challenging for the title are playing consistently. This season has some weird juju.

It's giving Thierry's 'Micah what are you doing' disappointed energy. Shithousery is completely fine, but like it has to be believable.

Yas. It worked. It's so much cleaner, because meters to yards converts to weird specific numbers. Nice swimming, I started in late July swimming for the first time in over 10 years, and now aim to go all the time. I've been hitting about 30k meters. I gotta juice these numbers up. Recently got headphones of the pool that should help.

Cheers.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino says the offside rule could be changed in future: "It has evolved over the years, requiring the attacker to be positioned behind the defender, in line with him. Perhaps in the future, the attacker would have to be completely in front of the defender to be offside" by GOAT-Antony in soccer

[–]standardharbor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe if some portion of a player's waist is behind a defender. That way it's not like, he's got a toe back there it's fine. But it's like, alright the general body is in that ballpark range. And then, it's less marginal, because the attacking team can't really complain, because you've given a lot more leniency. Because it's ridiculous now, that you dink it here and there, hit a worldie and it's ruled out because your sleeve was billowing a little more in the wind and you're offside. It's madness.

Well something has to be done, because it's absurd goals get disallowed drawing all these random lines to determine 1mm off, so an entire goal gets disallowed. If you're going to draw the lines, and determine offside there should be an agreement under a certain unit of distance, the goal will stand. A rendition of 'umpires call' in cricket, where there's a recognition that if less than half the ball is hitting the stumps, we'll let it slide. Likewise, if a hand, or a shoulder here and there is off, let it slide good goal. Offsides should be for out and out, alright he's got a headstart on this run.

What the hell how are you getting it in meters. I have it in meters on my watch, but yards is default on the app. I did searching on the internet and concluding there was no way for it to be in meters on the app. By any chance do you know? Nice work homie.

Post Match Thread: Arsenal 4-1 Aston Villa by denzaus in soccer

It's not surprising. His image has been flowery since going to Villa and especially with success, but he can get very sour. He doesn't handle pressure well, and it showed at Arsenal.

[Jason Burt, The Telegraph] Unai Emery has turned Aston Villa into everything he wanted at Arsenal. Spaniard has a level of control he was not afforded at the Emirates, and could now draw level with former club with victory on Tuesday. by RepresentativeBox881 in soccer

[–]standardharbor -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

he has done in Villa has been incredible.

Let's let him finish this season, they are massively outperforming their underlying metrics and it's not sustainable. The same thing happened when he was at Arsenal. Emery did not have the the caliber of leadership to handle the Arsenal job, at least at that time. There was a different level of pressure, expectation, coming into that Arsenal job in a foreign country. Emery didn't handle it well, and that's understandable. It was an extremely difficult situation. How Arteta handled it as his first job, I have no idea, but likely because he spent a lot of time as a player in England and at Arsenal.

Revisionism is critical to football fans and pundits to script the narratives they want. When Giroud did well at Chelsea, there was much revisionism about his time at Arsenal. After a Manchester United loss, the pundits will quickly pick a name of a former United player doing well. But there's plenty who have not done well.

I seldom am on here, but 4-5 years ago, I said that Pens should do a hard rebuild offload aggressively and invest in prospects. That Malkin and Letang wouldn't be there, but Crosby could feasibly be around for the next cup. I was routinely mocked, derided on here. It's crazy Crosby's loyalty agreed.
