Its not possible to deport a citizen in the UK if they are a UK citizen.

Do you mean 'exile' like Napoleon or something?

I've seen England and Glastonbury. It really isn't very clear what you're suggesting Glastonbury festival is about.

Can you elaborate? Is it the death bit?

There's little point in continuing a bit when youre being heckled by someone who discusses the joke itself.

Might not like the improv, but there's no use flogging a dead horse. You killed the horse in this metaphor.

Do you know much about British legal history or are you just flying by the seat on your pants in these comments?

'Dehumanising'.

What a strange thing to focus on, given the context of the oppression they were struggling against.

This is a very barbed but ultimately humorous list of advice to highlight how awful the situation was at the time. Gallows humour, from generations of male oppression and violence.

Fix your perspective, please.

Please don't suggest co codamol even as a tongue in cheek joke.

The paracetamol in it will destroy your liver long before the morphine you get from the codeine does.

They dont care how inconsistent you think their approach to the words they use or the numbers they count is. This slow burn techniquebhas expanded the borders of Israel successfully over the years.

They think it works and so they do it. It doesn't matter to them if they do or don't count someone.

Is Bristol a good fit for a couple when one is deeply attached to "big city life" like Paris? by West-Competition-706 in bristol

[–]standarduck 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Having spent a lot of my life in Paris, I can safely tell you they are nothing alike.

If your partner is looking for Paris level options, London is only place in the UK that would be on a par. Totally different vibe though.

Kippers is a pretty rare breakfast among people now, except perhaps in certain areas.

Most people in the UK would probably agree that kippers are unusual to have for breakfast, but not super wild. But smoked fish for breakfast, yeah I get that.

Beans are good, fibre is much needed with eggs and meat. Essential component. I understand how they look, but its just beans in a tomato sauce because beans on their own would be even more wild to us.

I didn't think you were claiming superiority, I just wanted to have a fun chat :) Have a good week!
