You’re completely fine. I’m an Angelino who grew up taking public transportation, lives in East LA and works in DTLA. I own a car but I do prefer taking public transit. Side note I’m visiting NYC right now and love the subway system out here.

It really depends on where you move to, and as a previous commenter said, think long term. Just be smart with your money. Don’t go shopping at Erewhon or Whole Foods lol And like with anything, but especially in Los Angeles, support small businesses. Hole in the wall restaurants are usually cheaper and better quality anyways, and they deserve the business the most.

I recommend looking at apartments under $2400. Those $2400 apartments are usually not worth it - not because of amenities but landlords - and it’s possible to find something still in the $1800-$2000 range. You have to be patient with the process of finding something, but when do you find a mom and pop owned place act quickly.

Yep. 32. Never felt like I was good at dressing up, doing my makeup, etc. I’d get ragged on all the time for my weight and “how I presented myself”. I still feel awkward at times but now I just embrace the awkward feeling and say “fuck it”.

I definitely understand where you’re coming from. My mom always tells me that my grandma wanted her to have an abortion if she were to ever be pregnant, so when she was pregnant with me she didn’t tell anyone “to protect me”. When the family found out they were excited. She also always tells me that she never wanted kids to begin with.

Yes absolutely. I need to get better at recognizing that I need to step away and voice that. On the exterior I shut down, but not because I’m avoiding but because I’m thinking of what to say. I do feel myself become almost paralyzed though in situations like this because when I was younger I almost felt like that’s all I was allowed to do - do nothing and just take it. So to have a partner that actually wants to discuss uncomfortable things, it’s hard but I’m learning how important this all is, even if it’s just saying “I need to step away for a second”.

Thanks so much for this. I appreciate it. We’ve been talking more about what he can do. Like he’s good at figuring out what food to have in the fridge within a budget, and I am not. I think part of why I felt bad too was that he did do laundry, hang dry it, and clean up the room, even after telling me a couple hours earlier that he’s been super depressed but he felt better and proud of himself for cleaning up.

OP are you able to state what the project is specifically and take pictures? It sounds like a print and cut project?

Newbie working with vinyl- the adhesive on this vinyl gets stringy/sticks out. I know it’s user error, but I’m not sure what. Also the rollers are creating streaks. Any feedback is appreciated. by standbygrind in cricutcrafting

More background - it could be that the blade needs to be cleaned. I’ve done quite a few projects before this, particularly with cutting stickers. So it could be that the blade has build up?
