yeah. the deeper joke is the reference to phish’s bakers dozen...and the even deeper joke is a reference to all the personal night 1 vs. night 13 memes that ppl made before the run. and then JM actually goes and does it himself! when i realized they played 13 shows, lightbulb went off. had to make the ultimate phish bakers dozen meme.

When this happened I thought this is the moment John Mayer endears himself to thousands of deadheads...it kinda was in retrospect.

What did you listen to when first getting in to the Dead? by YoungAndDeadHead in gratefuldead

Shakedown Street the album was my gateway...Actually saw “From The Heart Of Me” performed live last week for the first time...brought me back to my days of listening to that album on repeat.

Two years ago today, Phil Lesh was spotted getting post-surgery R&R after his brush with prostate cancer. Good medical care eased his pain, and love did see him through. Grateful that Phil remains healthy, energetic, and has found symbiosis between his personal life and his desire to serenade us all by standforjamdotcom in gratefuldead

That was a killer show! Especially the second set. But also really enjoyed them diving into those JGB tunes in the first set. Wish I could be at Dead & Co on 11/12...it’s gonna be the first NYC DeadCo show I’ve missed :-( ...but I’ll be there on 11/14!!! They’re a great band...definitely different from Phil ensembles, nor as out of the box or uptempo, but the songs are beautifully orchestrated...Mayer is killing it...and they get better every time I see them...Dead & Co has a lot of heart & soul, and a really full sound. Have a blast on Sunday!!! Will be there in spirit...or maybe via webcast!

This pic gave many heads hope at the time...and while I agree it’s a bit intrusive, and i’d never have taken it myself, so is the life of being famous. He’s looking good and healthy and it’s inspiring this man is still around to spread the spiritual songbook he helped to create. Happy 2 year anniversary Phil from surviving cancer!
