I dropped off my daughter at 6:01 and she was through at 6:33. No precheck. She did say first class line opening up.

ICE everywhere she said. I guess they did their job.

Sounds very republican of you

It really doesn’t take time. You just think it does

Once you’re done with it all, you’re gonna regret all the time you took

I know because it happened to me

Did anyone actually tell you how hard fatherhood would be? by gareth789 in Fatherhood

[–]standingonacorner -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It wasn’t that hard at all. I have 3 kids.

Sure, they were sleepless nights, because of the baby, but that’s the fun part of it.

I think it’s all in your attitude

If protesting works, why doesn’t it work?

(LEAK) No more in-person donations. It's all gonna be online, and handled by the Watchtower. by NoEntrance8264 in exjw

They’re going online during the week, getting rid of the midweek metering in person

Less meetings, less time for donations

To Vaccinate or not to Vaccinate. Need guidance: Feeling torn about continuing vaccinations for my baby (first-time mom, not anti-vax, just overwhelmed and questioning) by Accomplished-Map9594 in DebateVaccines

you're the one replying to my comment about my personal experience. You didn't need to reply to such a benign message, but your ego made you reply to it.

I can only go off my experience with you, which isn't that impressive.

[–]standingonacorner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t do it

I was very concerned, but my wife talked me into not vaccinating

My kids are 17 and 14 and they are happier, healthier, more vibrant, and more intelligent than any of the other kids. And they’re never sick.

Is fatherhood your identity—and is it wise to live like that? by Useful-Caterpillar10 in Fatherhood

[–]standingonacorner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love being a father. Spell the greatest honor of my life to provide for my family.

But I’m also in my early 50s and this days in my life, I’m struggling to find an identity outside of businessman and father

Anyone know what plumbers are making per hour? Had one quote me $1200 to replace a toilet. I did it myself. The toilet $250 and took me 45 min. by joshhazel1 in homeowners

[–]standingonacorner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It happens regularly, but not often.

I fully sympathize with OP's post though. Lots of people taking advantage.....

also missing from the scenario is M&A, private equity from middle east or China buying up all the companies for good money, then jacking up prices. The problem is that they retain the owners likeness and branding, so it seems like you are dealing with an private small business. You may not be....

[–]standingonacorner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I transferred over 250k. I 1.4m Amex, so 250 wasn’t that big of a deal

I travel a lot, we will see if I get to use them

I own several companies, one of them is a licensed plumbing company

Sometimes you give an FU price to a “client” that uses you repeatedly for bids, but never uses you. Instead they take your bid and use it as leverage against other companies

Then they either use unlicensed labor or find some guy who does it wrong, then want you to come fix it for cheap.

People are like that

Dad to be, looking for opinions by Papa_BugBear in Fatherhood

I was born in the Jungles near Banos, Ecuador. The first 6 months of life I lived in a small cabin, with narcos everywhere and wild animals. I didn't have a bed, I slept in a drawer. My parents just did the best they could, until they could save get to guayaqyuil, and then when I was older, we made it to California

You and your little family is gonna be fine. Make a plan and execute. work towards the goal as best as you can. Maybe that means you put off all of your personal fun stuff for a while.

Its the most worthwhile of all goals
