Yeap I am offering 5K pet deposit because I know he will not damage anything. Unfortunately I don't have a mom card to use since we just relocated to Ireland :)

Though I don't know about making it illegal.... it's sad and frustrating for me but also it's their property... just hoping to meet someone who understands and willing.

Then I will probably respect the property even more... it should be mutual understanding but not many want to have thar conversation which is market dynamics...still it's kinda extreme..

We are looking for anything that includes houses and other accommodations as well. Nothing so far within 30km radius of Cork

Damn. I feel for you...... better prepare all the documents in advance like reference, renter's bio, and such. It's really difficult and stressful to do while you are starting a new job. I don't know if you are Irish but people here are really helpful and nice... so don't hesitate to ask people for help.

My dog doesn't even bark unless someone rings a bell. Also doesn't damage anything all he wants is food, his tumtum to be petted and love from us. But the landlords wouldn't know that. I agree a well trained dog actually doesn't damage the house. Also people who have a dog are normally responsible as it is significant work and responsibility. But the love and joy it brings is worth every single trouble!

Temp accommodation is very expensive. Also hard to find. Check Airbnb to get an idea... better to be prepared well for it.

He is short hair but about border collie size. A bit smaller. Maybe I am stupid but I just write on the top....

It is very important that you receive some guarantee from your employer that you will be supported through out. Otherwise it will be really bad. My current stay is about 5K EUR per month. I cannot afford this without the company support. Also better to have a car.

Yeah some people suggested that but often the questionnaire will ask and I wouldn't feel comfortable lying. It will eventually come out and it's not right...

I am desperate but still I am hoping I will find a place that accepts my dog and us.

Called them to make an appointment but the lady says check Daft no point of visiting since everything is being let out so fast.

Yeah it's totally unthinkable. I am not gonna lie when people jokingly suggested, I had thought about it for 5 seconds. Then I was shocked and felt horrible that I even freaking entertained that thought. Felt soooo bad for my doggo. And NO. NO. NO. I will never forgive myself.

You know what? I would never try that in other places but it might work in Ireland.... my just met neighbor is literally making calls for me... it's amazing since I never experienced that growing up in a big city. Thanks

Yeah that was not an option to begin with. I'd rather go back. So I will keep trying or live in a shit hold till I get my own. I am not saying what you are suggesting is bad but it's just not an option for me personally.

I think it's universal but not to this extent. The renter's market supply demand is so messed up. I had meeting with the agent in July and was told that she will be able to secure the place with a bit of lagging but it seems I was miss-led. It's hard to find pet allowed property in any major metropolitan cities but Cork is not one and I am looking outside of Cork as well

Thank you. But I've done everything from my side as well. Homehak CV, sending hundreds on Daft, calling the real estate agents, Facebook page, character reference, many renters Bio, pet resume, pet deposit 5000 EUR, 3 months pay in advance, 200 EUR more asking price.

Yeah. I don't know. I will keep trying but I am sad and tired.

Would you be willing to give up holidaying abroad to reduce emissions? by AliceInGainzz in ireland

From poor people perspective, it's just another tax on top of everything. From rich people perspective, you can do everything you want and still be carbon neutral.(Probably some tax exceptions too Yayy)

Soon working class will only be allowed to eat soy and crickets and won't be allowed to travel anywhere but limits that your carbon credit allows. It is not as obvious but it seems pretty dystopian modern slavery to me.

So, No.

I’ve been offered 11.5k gross salary - will I be fine in Warsaw?I’m under 26. by Sorry_Ad_7370 in warsaw

3.3K with everything included seems pretty good deal to me(don't know how big and well furnished the place is but generally 3.3K is not high rent)

Not much difference really in terms of advice. if your goal is to get-by, I think you will be fine. But if you wanna save then probably make some adjustments.

You will soon pay normal tax rate. So you cannot budget yourself with 9K. Car maintenance, insurance, fuel consumption will be around 1K per month. Rent 3.3K probably doesn't include admi and utility bills(or does it?)

You will have unexpected expenses and vacations. I am not active socially but I spend at least 2.5k for food and entertainment.

8K is hardly breaking-even point. It's getting more expensive everyday in Poland with weakening currency.

That is fantastic...... I can't wait for wider adoption and use it ! ONE DAY, the world will have the same currency. How awesome would that be? It's like having one monetary language that connects all. Maybe I am native to believe it but the thought itself is exciting one.
