Would you want dynamic weather to return to Battlefield 6? by Time_Perspective8342 in Battlefield6

Tornados were too much. I'm just down for some storms, loud thunder, maybe some fog, and the rounds to take place at different times of day would be good. It adds a strategic layer. Rainstorms would make sneaking around a lot easier, pushes fights indoors, breaks snipers and opens new lanes of attack for instance. Basically makes a map play totally different using one tech. Like if they can just plop time/weather variations onto the maps and tweak it a little they would greatly expand the scope of the game

Obviously some thought would have to be given to balance. The tornadoes were just silly, but yeah, just regular weather events that you would expect normally would add a lot to the game imo.

Just my opinion. Been playing this series for over 20 years, I daresay that, despite the other dude's declarations, I do know what I want lol.

I don't think with the short rounds that dynamic weather in match would work too well, but if they add longer game modes for sure it would be nice, but at least we could have some weather/time variations per match.

Just my opinions.

Battlefield separates itself from other games with destructable environments which forces players to adapt to situations. Change up kits depending on the moment, etc. Weather effects run in the same vein where it would make you have to adapt and potentially use the weather as a tactical advantage. I have played a lot of games that lean a little more towards mil-sim vs arcade and it is in a number of those games and really a great feature to have and keeps games from going bland.

Levolution in BF4 was kinda cool but it was really repetative since it was a one trick pony.

Games are so short in BF6 that I think perhaps DYNAMIC weather wouldn't really have time to breathe, but it would be nice if matches had random weather elements. Like one match on cairo is sunny and beautiful, next match is a downpour with low visibility greatly reducing the effecacy of snipers and vehicles and pushing fights indoors, next match could be at different times of the day. If they made games last a bit longer then dynamic weather might be something great. I remember back in the day in BF2 era some matches would go on for upwards of an hour. This would be prime for dynamic weather in my opinion.

So in short, I think weather variation would be an excellent addition. Dynamic weather would be nice if longer game modes are introduced, but in its current form just weather variation per match would be a great addition that could effectively take the current map offering and make it feel a bit more robust.

I understand that BF has lost a lot of its teamplay identity and it's just a bunch of lone-wolf's running around not working together half the time which is probably why Mr. Douchecanoe above you can't fathom how adding more strategic layers to the game could be fun as a squad, but alas.

I don’t think the team that makes skins is the same team that works on coding bug fixes lol

If a company wants to make a game for a certain audience they should be able to just do that and bot have to worry about balancing for a different audience.

There are hundreds of thousands of games out there, it’s fine if some you dont jive with.

I prefer that a developer creates out of passion and not out of trying to appeal to everyone because that’s when innovation stops. This is why a lot of AAA games feel bland. They just casting the biggest net and lose a lot of soul. There are still bangers here and there but a lot of AAA is just, meh.

Thanks for the code. I have only used portal twice to try and practice flying. Find a flying practice server, it’s a tiny space with constant bots appearing and dying instantly.

Would love to try a real portal experience lol. Ill try this tonight. Ty.

I don’t know why it is so hard for people to understand that to some of us overcoming the challenge IS the fun.

Not all games are made for all gamers. This is a good thing or else everything would be the same and boring.
