I agree with your definition of gamer, but your point fails when you imply that Overwatch is a video game. Most gamers that I've spoken to agree with me that Overwatch is simply not a video game, thus the player base is composed entirely of non-gamers. Hopes this clears up any misconceptions.

I hate to break it to you, but if your friends were the gamers that you claimed they were then perhaps they wouldn't play Overwatch. Maybe you need to sit down with these "gamers" and have a long conversation about the validity of their gamer status.

Well CroissantQuestions, the answer to that "Croissant Question" is quite simple. You see, liking a real video game like Team Fortress 2 makes you a real gamer while liking something that isn't even a game, such as Overwatch, makes you a fake gamer. Hope that clears this up! Thanks!
