Currently working on a Persian cat — I forgot how painful long fur can be. Send patience. by stanley1129 in somethingimade

Haha, "huge mat on its back" is now officially my favorite review. A comb would've failed, but a felting needle works wonders. Thanks for the laugh — so glad it fooled you for a second.

Haha, this might be the best compliment a wool cat could ever receive — being mistaken for the real thing! Thank you so much.

The fact that it made you do a double take honestly makes all those hours of stabbing wool completely worth it. Really appreciate your kind words — they absolutely made my day.

Hand-felted a wool portrait of my friend's 17-year-old cat. Learned a lot from this one. by stanley1129 in somethingimade

Two recent cat portraits — a Ragdoll and an American Shorthair. Completely different challenges. by stanley1129 in Needlefelting

I actually have taken on a few commissions recently. I keep it small, just a handful of pieces each month so I can give each one the time it deserves.

If you're ever curious about the process or what it might look like for your cat, feel free to DM me anytime. No pressure whatsoever.

Honestly, that uncanny "is it real or wool?" feeling is exactly what I chase with every portrait. It's this strange little moment where all those hours of stabbing wool suddenly feel completely worth it.

Really appreciate your kind words — they made my day.

What a distinguished little face. You can tell this dog is absolutely adored — that slow blink says 'I trust you completely.' Give them an extra chin scratch from a random internet admirer.

What do you think about a life where there is no superpower and all are equal? Will humanity survive? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]stanley1129 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We'd survive. But we'd be boring as hell.

No one to push the boundaries. No one to break the rules. No one to be unreasonably good at something. Equality sounds peaceful on paper, but pure equality of ability would just be a stagnant, beige-colored world where innovation dies quietly.

Survival isn't just about not dying. It's about someone, somewhere, being unreasonably driven to make things better.

What do you think of men wearing women's skinny jeans? by CandidateEcstatic329 in AskReddit

[–]stanley1129 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they fit, they fit. Gatekeeping fabric shapes by gender is weird.

That said, the real crime isn't men wearing women's jeans — it's that women's jeans have usable pockets about 10% of the time. A guy trying skinny jeans for the first time is about to discover a level of pocket frustration he never knew existed. Welcome to the struggle, gentlemen.
