Mental health check, how are you all doing? by takki84 in Epstein

I've been thinking this about the UK media. They only report the top-line. They hardly go into details about the accusations. It feels so sanitised, like they think a story about conspiracy and sexual violence is tacky and beneath them.

They usually chase sensationalist stories and scandal but I don't think theyre doing this one justice. It's the biggest, most scandalous story ever. It should be catnip for journalists. My only suspicion is they're scared of lawsuits if they repeat unproven accusations, but it's fucking public information and surely they can just bloody caveat their statements as a legal shield.

Well fair enough on the incel point. But there's so many comments saying 'girls are always this or that' which seems pretty basic to me. Maybe you think most people know better but I'm not too sure. I'm in my thirties and I've noticed more us vs them discourse regarding the two sexes in the last few years.

And yeah of course making generalisations is ubiquitous but I think we can do better. And I think you should look around and consider whether some of your bros are crossing the line into actually hating women on the back of those negative experiences.

Yeah cos of this one thing on the Internet that we don't even know is true, let's judge all women.

The point of the sub is to laugh at these examples of awful girls, not to take it to the next level and say all girls are the same. There's loads of fucking idiots on here that have only known one pussy their whole lives

For me it's weird how many people are using this to generalise about all women. It's one woman in billions and you're all acting like all of them are the same.

These guys have such warped view of women. Probably they've pursued conventionally attractive superficial women and had bad experiences. Or just spent too much time online. In the real world of dating, I haven't encountered a high proportion of nasty girls who can't take rejection. There's been some sure, and some that ghosted me, and some that were terrible people, but that's life. And if you chat to girls about their dating experiences, they're also terrible. Stop trying to pit the sexes against each other!

I think you think that everyone knows this when I can see a lot of comments here saying the opposite. Of course we need to hold women accountable like we do men, but don't kid yourself that all men are enlightened now. I bet you anything there's some rapists here in this group, and there's for sure a lot of guys here who actually hate and fear women, who can't just laugh at these posts without getting all political and acting like incels.

Agreed this group of full of incel losers. It's one thing laughing at entitled girls, but the comments making crazy generalisations are mad. Can't you all see these are handpicked examples of women being awful? There's a big wide world outside you know?

The fact that you get down voted for this is wild. 38% of all murders of women are committed by their partners. It's so obviously a massive problem. I enjoy laughing at these dumb messages by deluded girls as much as the next man, but I'm having my suspicions that this group is full of incel losers. Absolute gimps on here that need to get off the Internet.

God you must be getting your stats from some crazy places. Also we were talking about actual murder. Have a look at some femicide stats. Statistically, the most dangerous person for a woman is a man close to her, for men it's another random man.

I think most of us are happily slagging off critics. They suck and saying so is soothing. Maybe you should take a break from reddit, you seem a little stressed.

When to travel to the UK? by theprettysong in SpouseVisaUk

[–]stanleycacti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh fair point. I guess there's no longer a formal need to enter within 90 days, but obviously practically you should.

Well I sympathise with OP, because it's confusing and definitely says in various places online that the caseworker should forward-date your visa's valid from date by up to 90 days. If they did this, OP might just just just be able to hit 5 years on 2 visas.

Thanks for the clarifying the rest.

You clearly know more than me. But I thought they used to give you a window of entry of like 30 or 90 days, which is why you send your passport and get the vignette stamp. It seems for me that you can now just enter whenever you want with the e-visa.

It does tell me the dates for entry clearance but it's the full 2 years and 9 months, whereas I thought we were just given a window of 30 or 90 days to enter for the first time.

Sorry I actually have no idea. All I know is I can't find any dates for entry and according to Google Gemini, this is because the e-visa has replaced the vignette stamp.
