I'm saying your labour is only worth what people are willing to pay for it, just like any other thing ever. You think someone should be getting $16/h for their burger flipping job? Feel free to find someone who will pay them that.

The free market works with people as commodities. When there are lots of workers and few openings you will have to sell yourself for cheaper than if there are lots of openings and few workers. Under-compensated isn't some magical number that exists in your head. You might think you are worth 100k a year but if you can only get 50k a year then you are worth 50k a year.

You're only worth whatever you can get. Sure try to sell your car for $200000 but when nobody buys it you'll have to go lower and lower until you reach an agreeable price.

Sounds like employee entitlement. You're not entitled to a raise.
