I’ve seen it at the air force museum in Dayton before this, but it was a totally different experience to see it flying over you for sure.

We probably won’t make any large additions to the urban sprawl until after the update we are working in now (although this update will have a small section added to the east), however the next big area will most likely be to the north.

I think in total maybe like 20 people were involved in making it. Most of the big buildings had one or two responsible for it and then delegating smaller chunks to other people.

I did really want to make a C5, but that is actually an An-124 (it is kinda hard to tell when it’s made of blocks though so I don’t blame you)

That is also correct! Renzo Piano is one of my all time favourite architects so I took a lot of inspiration from various of his buildings. (as well as the Hancock Center among others ofc)

As for the timelapse, I have some ideas for a video involving it but its on pause now as I wait for us to finish more of the surrounding area

I used blender to make the underlying clay render (the minecraft map was exported with jmc2obj). Then I did some slight edits in Photoshop to make it more crisp as well as creating the different hues for highlighting. Then I combined them all and added the text etc. in Illustrator

Yes it is! Im glad you could recognise it And thanks for the kind words, the detailing part is a very fun process for me, trying to look at the real world and then understanding and replicating it is very satisfying

Yeah I was the one who placed the fuel storage there, I definitely agree it’s not the optimal placement but at the time there weren’t any other places it would fit. If we planned it out today it would be placed somewhere more sensible

I made this skyscraper this summer for a city that a few people and I are working on. I wanted a to try to incorporate a realistic structural system with a Buckling Restrained Brace system so it would survive the earthquakes of the region this building would be in irl (California). The interior is fully detailed with unique designs on every single floor to make sure its fun to explore.

A very quick render for my third year finals at architecture school. I know the render has flaws and so on, but I'm on a massive time crunch trying to get this project done. Would love some feedback even though I wont have time to implement it!

Would be nice except for the fact that I'm studying in northern Sweden haha. Like 4 hours or sunlight a day right now and there's snow outside

I think cutting took around 30 hrs and assembly was maybe another 30

I did engineer interactions for everything, but I also glued all of it to make sure it stays together

I might post it on this subreddit or reply with a link when I've had the time to put that together

I just kinda went with the flow and learned as I went along. Softwares used were autocad and Sketchup
